The replacement for the HP 12A,
made by G&G.

This compatible black toner takes the place of the HP 12A (Q2612A) cartridge in HP LaserJet 1010 to 1022, 3015 to 3055, M1005 and Canon LBP 2900/3000 printers. It is made by G&G, the consumables brand of the Ninestar group, and carries neither the HP name nor the HP logo. It also stands in for Canon FX9, FX10, 303, 104, 703 and 304 cartridges.

The cartridge in place decides

The printer name is not always enough: look for the Q2612A reference on the cartridge you are replacing. This toner is intended for HP LaserJet 1010 to 1022nw, 3015 to 3055, M1005, M1300 and M1319f MFP, Canon LBP 2900 and LBP 3000, FaxPhone L90 and L120, FAX L100 and several i-SENSYS models of the MF4000 series. G&G supplies it without a chip.

Fitting it without force

Remove the cartridge's protection before inserting it. A compatible version may have a very slightly different shape from the original: if it resists, follow the instructions printed on the box instead of forcing it. If the printer does not recognise it, G&G advises wiping the contacts with a dry cloth and turning off automatic firmware updates.

Order by the reference of the original cartridge, Q2612A, rather than by the printer name: two printers with similar names do not always use the same toner.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is this toner an original HP consumable?
No. It is a compatible toner made by G&G, the consumables brand of the Ninestar group, headquartered in Zhuhai, China. It takes the place of the HP 12A (Q2612A) in the same printers, without carrying the HP name or logo. G&G lists it among its “compatible” laser cartridges, a range separate from its remanufactured cartridges.
Which printers does it fit?
It is intended for the HP LaserJet 1010, 1012, 1015, 1018, 1020, 1022, 1022n and 1022nw, the HP LaserJet 3015 to 3055, M1005 MFP, M1300 MFP and M1319f MFP, as well as the Canon LBP 2900 and LBP 3000, the FaxPhone L90 and L120, the FAX L100 and the i-SENSYS MF4000 models, from the MF4010 to the MF4690pl.
How many pages can this toner print?
G&G states a yield of 2,000 pages. The real figure depends on what you print: a page heavy with solid areas or images uses more than a letter. G&G also points out that the condition of the printer, the environment and the density setting affect the number of pages obtained.
How do I install it in the printer?
First remove the cartridge's protection: it is the first cause of failure cited by G&G. Some compatible versions have a slightly different shape from the original; if the cartridge resists, do not force it, follow the instructions printed on the box or on the cartridge and calmly insert it again.
What should I do if the printer does not recognise the toner?
G&G supplies this toner without a chip. If the printer does not recognise it, take it out, check that the protection has been removed and consult the compatibility list: G&G reminds that a cartridge only works in the machines intended for it. G&G also advises turning off automatic firmware updates.
Does it also fit a Canon printer?
Yes. G&G also gives it as an equivalent to Canon FX9, FX10, 303, 104, 703 and 304 cartridges. It fits for example the Canon LBP 2900 and LBP 3000, the FaxPhone L90 and L120 and several i-SENSYS MF4000 models, such as the MF4010 or the MF4150. Check the reference of the cartridge in place before ordering.
