The Bosch FLEXIDOME indoor 3100i IR is a 5-megapixel fixed dome camera for indoor surveillance. Its motorised 3.3 to 10.2 mm varifocal lens can be adjusted remotely from the interface, with no site visit needed, and its built-in infrared illumination reaches 30 metres so it keeps seeing in complete darkness. Do you have to go back on site to adjust the framing of this Bosch camera?
No: its motorised 3.3 to 10.2 mm varifocal lens is adjusted remotely from the interface, without any on-site intervention. A real gain when the camera is mounted high up.
What can the built-in analytics of this FLEXIDOME 3100i detect?
The IVA Pro Buildings analytics, based on deep learning, distinguishes people from vehicles and triggers only relevant alarms. That is what separates a useful alert from a notification for every shadow.
How far does this Bosch camera's night vision reach?
30 metres, thanks to its built-in infrared illumination. It therefore keeps seeing in complete darkness, with no additional lighting to install.
Can this camera be powered through the network cable?
Yes: it runs on PoE, with a single cable carrying both the network and the power. You will, however, need a PoE injector or switch, which is not included.
Is this Bosch camera designed for outdoor use?
No: it is a fixed dome for indoor installation. Its white RAL 9003 housing, 137 mm in diameter and weighing 415 g, is designed for the ceiling of a lobby, office or shop.
What difference does HDR processing make on this camera?
It preserves detail in both the highlights and the shadows of the same image. On a glazed entrance in full sunlight, that is what still lets you make out the person walking through the door.
How is access to this camera protected?
By a TPM module, which protects access to the camera and data transport. On a corporate network, it is the assurance that the stream cannot be diverted as easily.
Does this camera integrate with a recorder from another brand?
Yes: it is ONVIF compatible, the video surveillance interoperability standard. Check which ONVIF profile your recorder supports before ordering.
