Is the Epson L6490 printhead permanent or replaceable?
It is permanent: it is a PrecisionCore Heat-Free printhead, with no warm-up time, which stays with the printer for its whole life. You only buy ink (Epson 112 range).
Does the Epson L6490 print in A3?
No: the L6490 is an A4 multifunction printer (print, copy, scan and fax). If you need A3+, you should look at a model such as the L14150.
Is automatic duplex printing supported?
Yes, duplex printing is automatic in A4 on plain paper, which saves paper without any handling.
How is the L6490's ink different?
It uses 4 fully pigment inks (112 range) that dry quickly, producing prints that resist smudging, water and highlighters: ideal for professional documents to be archived.
How many pages can the included ink print?
Up to 13,300 pages in black and 5,200 in colour with the supplied ink. An Epson 112 refill set then prints about 7,500 black pages and 6,000 colour pages (Epson estimates).
Is a USB cable supplied with the L6490?
No, the USB cable must be bought separately. The printer also connects via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct or Ethernet.
