Long-Range Outdoor Wi-Fi Antennas and CPE

An outdoor Wi-Fi antenna or CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) lets you create a wireless link between two distant sites, sometimes several kilometres apart, without running fibre. The ideal way to connect an outbuilding, a construction site or a solar farm, or to extend a hotspot's coverage.

At iris.ma, the Ubiquiti airMAX range leads with the PowerBeam, NanoBeam, LiteBeam and RocketPRISM models and the AMO omnidirectional antennas. These products can reach speeds of several hundred Mbps over more than 10 km with a clear line of sight.

Directional or Omnidirectional Antenna?

A directional antenna (PowerBeam, NanoBeam, LiteBeam) focuses the signal along a precise axis: ideal for linking two distant points. An omnidirectional antenna (AMO) broadcasts over 360°: suited to covering a public hotspot, a campsite or an industrial area.

2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Band?

The 5 GHz band is today's standard: higher speeds, less interference and access to DFS channels for professional links. The 2.4 GHz band remains useful for very long distances or in wooded environments.

Deployment

Our Ubiquiti CPEs run the airOS platform and can be configured in a few minutes. For a complete installation, remember the PoE injectors supplied with each antenna.
