These general terms and conditions of sale govern all relations between the customer and the IRIS e-commerce site represented by SGM2I (Société Générale Marocaine de l’Internet et l’Informatique); they stand as a contract. Any order placed on this site implies the customer’s unconditional and irrevocable acceptance of these terms.
These terms are liable to be amended; each user is nevertheless bound only by the terms in force at the time of their order.
The confirmation of an order constitutes an electronic signature by the user, whereby they undertake to comply with all of the general terms and conditions of sale.
This contract is a distance contract, the purpose of which is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the sale of the products of the company SGM2I over the internet. Iris.ma is a service and a trademark registered by the company SGM2I S.A.R.L. Online payments are processed through an approved bank payment platform.
Prices
The prices displayed on IRIS are in Moroccan dirhams and all taxes included (incl. VAT). They do not, however, include the delivery charge.
The total price to be paid is displayed clearly during the final stage of the purchase process; the user therefore confirms their order only after having been informed of the total amount to be paid.
The rates in force are those displayed on IRIS at the time of the order; the customer is therefore not concerned by any promotion, offer or discount prior or subsequent to their purchase.
Availability
The product offers proposed on IRIS are valid only while stocks last.
If one of the products ordered is not available, the customer will receive an e-mail informing them either of the change in the delivery lead time, or of the cancellation of the order and, consequently, of its refund.
It should be pointed out that the unavailability of a product does not in any way oblige SGM2I to pay compensation to the customer; the latter will receive only the refund of the sum they have paid.
Delivery
IRIS delivers to its customers at the address given when placing their order. The lead time for this delivery depends on the availability of the products, on the method of payment chosen, and on the type of delivery the user has selected.
The delivery lead time is calculated in working days; it nevertheless remains indicative and cannot give rise to any claim from the customer where the delay from the expected delivery date is less than 7 days. Beyond that period (delivery lead time + 7 days) the customer may request the cancellation of their order.
The delivery lead time runs from the moment the order is confirmed, that is to say after receipt of payment and not before. If the customer has decided to cancel their order because of a delivery delay exceeding the aforementioned periods, they will be refunded.
The delivery charge depends on the weight of the products purchased, on the total amount of the order and on the type of delivery the user has chosen. This amount is clearly shown on the buyer’s invoice.
The home delivery rate is identical in every city of the Kingdom for a parcel whose weight does not exceed 30 kg. An order requiring several parcels is charged by the number of parcels, without the total being able to exceed the rate that would result from its combined weight. Above 30 kg, the rate for a parcel follows its weight, with the exception of the city of Casablanca, where the flat rate applies up to 120 kg. Store pickup is free.
Delivery is free, whatever the destination city, for any order whose product amount is equal to or greater than 3,000.00 DH incl. VAT, excluding delivery charges, and whose total weight does not exceed 30 kg.
Certain products carry, by reason of their bulk, a shipping surcharge of their own. This surcharge is shown on the product page, counted per item, and included in the amount displayed before the order is confirmed. It is added to the delivery rate and remains payable where delivery is free by reason of the order amount. Store pickup is exempt from it.
On receipt of the goods, the customer must check the products they have purchased and report any damage or non-conformity observed by means of a claim sent by e-mail to the following address: service.clientiris.ma within 48 hours.
Payment
The customer has five methods of settlement with which to pay for their purchases: payment by bank card, bank transfer, payment by cash deposit at a bank branch, cash on delivery, and payment by certified bank cheque. These five methods of payment are governed by Moroccan law and any attempt at fraud is severely punished under the laws in force.
In the case of payment by bank card, the transaction is submitted for debit from your account on the day following the date of confirmation of delivery.
Your payments are secured by an approved bank payment platform which provides a fully secure payment service. The Consumer warrants to the company SGM2I that they hold the authorisations that may be necessary to use the method of payment chosen by them when confirming their order.
In the event of payment by bank card, the provisions relating to the fraudulent use of the means of payment laid down in the agreements concluded between the Consumer and the issuer of the card, and between the company SGM2I and its banking establishment, shall apply.
This payment may be made with a Moroccan or a foreign bank card. The user’s personal data is encrypted during the transaction on the secure payment platform so as to guarantee the strictest confidentiality.
The customer is therefore required to provide sincere and proven information; any false information is deemed fraudulent and could give rise to the cancellation of the order and to legal proceedings. Furthermore, they warrant to the site that they hold the authorisations necessary to use this method of payment.
The bank card payment system is certified as compliant with the standards of VISA, MasterCard and of all Moroccan banks.
In the event of payment by bank card, the customer may be asked for supporting documents in order to verify their identity and to prevent any attempt at fraud.
Payment by bank transfer does not make it possible to reserve the products. The order is confirmed only after receipt of payment. Beyond a period of 15 days, if SGM2I does not receive a transfer to the following account: (RIB: 007 826 0002684000000426 89 - Branch: Attijariwafa bank: BCM Harhoura branch - 39, Centre Laayoune - Harhoura/Témara) , the order is cancelled. The customer should take into consideration that a bank transfer requires at least 48 hours for the money to be transferred from one account to another.
For practical reasons, the user must state their order number as the reference for their transfer. An order settled by bank transfer is confirmed only after receipt of the latter.
Payment by cash deposit at an Attijariwafa Bank branch does not allow the customer to reserve the products of their order. The order takes effect only after receipt of payment. The customer must send the amount corresponding to their order to the following account: (Account No.: 0268 D 000 000 426 - Bank: Attijariwafa bank). Beyond a period of 15 days, and where payment has not been received, the order is automatically cancelled. A cash deposit generally takes 24 hours to reach the beneficiary’s account.
It is advisable to state the order reference at the time of the cash deposit with the bank.
Confirmation takes place only after receipt of payment, after which the goods are dispatched to their buyer.
Any order paid cash on delivery is carefully checked by the fraud control department of iris.ma, which therefore requires processing time before confirmation. Once confirmed, it is dispatched to the customer, who must without fail pay the amount of their purchases in cash to the delivery agent. Should the customer refuse to pay, the company reserves the right to bring legal proceedings against them.
This method of payment does not apply to all orders but only to certain products, and for amounts not exceeding 6,000.00 DH incl. VAT for the order as a whole.
Payment by bank cheque on delivery is accepted on condition that the cheque is certified by the customer’s bank. The cheque in question must be made payable to the company that operates the iris.ma site: sgm2i.
It is advisable to state the order reference on the back of the cheque.
The processing of orders paid by bank cheque may take time. Once the order has been placed, the customer must send us a copy of the certified cheque by e-mail or by fax.
Once this copy has been received, the order is confirmed, then dispatched as soon as possible. The cheque must be handed to the delivery driver at the time of delivery.
Please note that the products of the order can be reserved only from the moment the copy of the cheque is received.
It should be pointed out that we do not accept uncertified cheques, that the cheque must without fail be made payable to sgm2i, and that it must be handed to the delivery driver at the very moment of delivery, failing which the parcel cannot be released.
Please note that for certain orders, by reason of the specific nature of the products, we cannot accept payment in full on delivery. In such cases, the customer is required to pay a deposit on their order. The remaining balance must be paid at the time of delivery. It is important to stress that the amount of the deposit is not refundable where the order is cancelled by the customer. This measure is in place to guarantee the efficient management of our stock and the quality of our customer service. The amount of the deposit generally covers the packing, shipping and logistics handling costs, which is why it is not refundable.
Proof of transactions paid by bank card
The data recorded by the approved bank payment platform on behalf of SGM2I constitutes proof of all the commercial transactions entered into between the customer and the company SGM2I on the iris.ma site.
Warranty
All the products sold on IRIS carry a manufacturer’s warranty which differs according to the type and the brand of each product.
Please note that, for all products purchased on iris.ma, the warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer, who is also responsible for the whole of the after-sales service. This means that the process of diagnosis, repair or replacement of products under warranty is managed in full by the manufacturer, in collaboration with companies specially approved to repair the products of the brand concerned. Iris.ma takes no part in the after-sales service and does not intervene in the warranty management process. Our sole role is to gather the claims of our customers and to direct them to the service approved by the brand in order to obtain the benefit of its warranty.
It should also be noted that products found faulty on unpacking are not systematically exchanged. This depends on the warranty policy of each brand.
It must furthermore be taken into consideration that, whatever the nature of the problem with a machine, a prior diagnosis must be carried out on the product by the service approved by the manufacturer in order to confirm the subject of the customer’s claim. This process may take some time
Product page
We endeavour to provide product pages documented to the fullest extent in order to present each of our products to you. However, the images supplied on the site are not contractual; they are given for guidance, to illustrate a product in the most faithful manner possible. Only the information contained in the title, the short description and the technical specifications of the product engages the liability of the company towards the customer.
Right of withdrawal
Under the law, the customer has a withdrawal period of 7 days from the day the parcel is received. To that end, every customer must inform us by e-mail, on the same day, of the date of receipt of the said parcel, failing which we shall consider that it was received 2 days after the date of its dispatch.
Where the seven-day period expires on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public or non-working holiday, it is extended until the first following working day.
This right of withdrawal is nevertheless subject to certain conditions:
- The product must not have been opened or unpacked; it must be intact, as it was sent, otherwise it is no longer refundable.
- The shipping and return costs are borne by the customer.
- In the case of payment by bank card, a processing fee of up to 2.5% of the amount of the order is deducted from the amount to be refunded. The refund is made within a maximum period of 15 days.
Promotional codes
IRIS regularly offers promotional codes in the press and through its partners so that its customers may obtain discounts on their purchases.
A code may be used only once per person and is under no circumstances refundable or combinable.
Promotional codes are valid only during the period stated in the advertisement that accompanies them.
In order to obtain the discount attached to a code, it must be entered in the box provided for that purpose at the time of the order on IRIS. A code therefore cannot be used after an order has been confirmed. No claim to that effect will be taken into account.
Personal data protection
The customer must provide sincere and accurate information when registering. Any false information gives rise to the cancellation of the order.
