Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the printer do automatic duplex printing?
Yes. Duplex printing is automatic, with no intervention, on plain A4 paper — expect 6.5 pages/min in black and 4.5 in colour in this mode.
Does it have an automatic feeder for scanning several pages in a row?
No. This model scans on a flatbed (CIS sensor, 1,200 × 2,400 dpi): documents are placed one at a time under the lid, with no automatic feeder.
Do you need to buy cartridges, or does the ink come in bottles?
It runs on refillable tanks at the front of the machine, filled from ink bottles with locking nozzles that only fit the right tank: no mixed colours, no overflow.
How many pages can be printed with the ink supplied with the printer?
The ink in the box covers up to 14,000 pages in black and 5,200 in colour, i.e. up to three years of everyday printing before you buy a single bottle.
Can you print from a smartphone without going through a computer?
Yes. Wi-Fi Direct connects the phone directly to the printer without a router, and the Epson Smart Panel app controls printing, copying and scanning from the phone (AirPrint and Mopria compatible too).
Is there an Ethernet port to connect it to a wired network?
No. This printer connects via Wi-Fi (including Wi-Fi Direct) or USB — there is no Ethernet port on this model.
Can you start a copy from the screen without turning on a computer?
Yes. A 3.7 cm colour screen displays the copy, scan and maintenance menus directly on the machine.
What warranty does this printer have?
The product is new and covered by the 1-year manufacturer warranty; the purchase invoice serves as the warranty document.
