Is the print head of the Epson EcoTank L4260 permanent?
Yes: it is a fixed Epson Micro Piezo head, built to last. You do not replace it every time the ink runs low — you simply refill the tanks from ink bottles.
How many pages can I print with the ink supplied at purchase?
The included ink set prints up to 14,000 pages in black and 5,200 pages in colour — potentially up to three years of printing, according to Epson.
How many pages do the Epson 101 refill bottles give?
As refills, the Epson 101 bottles yield about 7,500 pages in black and 6,000 pages in colour, for a very low cost per page (up to 90% savings, according to Epson).
Is the black ink in the EcoTank L4260 pigment-based?
Yes: the black ink is pigment-based (crisp text, close to laser output), while the colour inks are dye-based. The bottles are keyed so you cannot mix up the colours when refilling.
Does the Epson L4260 do automatic duplex printing?
Yes, duplex printing is automatic, which saves paper. It also prints borderless (up to photo size).
Does the Epson L4260 have an Ethernet port?
No, there is no Ethernet. It connects via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and USB. Worth checking if you wanted a wired network.
Can you scan several pages automatically with a feeder?
No: it has no automatic document feeder (ADF). Scanning is done on the flatbed, one page at a time, in BMP, JPEG, TIFF and PDF formats.
Is a USB cable supplied with the Epson L4260?
No, the USB cable is not included: it must be bought separately. Otherwise, you can use the printer wirelessly over Wi-Fi.
