5-port Gigabit unmanaged switch, compact, to turn one network socket into 5 simultaneous wired connections with no configuration.
The RG-ES05G-L offers 5 RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports with non-blocking switching at 10 Gbps / 7.44 Mpps and a 2,000-entry MAC table. The plastic desktop casing is completely silent: no fan, no moving parts. Plug-and-play: connect it and the switch works straight away. Surge protection reaches 4 kV on every port.
When a Ruijie managed switch is on the network, the RG-ES05G-L shows up read-only in Ruijie Cloud for network-wide visibility with no extra configuration.

Can the RG-ES05G-L be configured?
No: it is an unmanaged switch, with no interface or app. It switches traffic as soon as it is switched on, with no VLANs and no settings possible. It is the tool for turning one network socket into five, not for segmenting a business network.
What performance can you expect from a 5-port switch?
10 Gbps of switching capacity and 7.44 Mpps, with non-blocking switching and a 2,000-entry MAC address table. All five Gigabit ports can therefore work together at full speed, which is more than enough for an office or a workstation.
Can this small unit withstand surges?
Each port withstands 4 kV surges, which is rare on a switch of this size: electrical transients in a building will not take the equipment out. It also has no moving parts, so no mechanical wear.
Does this switch appear in Ruijie Cloud monitoring?
Yes, read-only, provided at least one Ruijie managed switch is present on the network: it then shows up in the site topology. You can see it without being able to configure it — a troubleshooting aid, not management.
Do you need to worry about the type of cable you plug in?
No: auto MDI/MDIX corrects the pinout on its own, whether the cable is straight-through or crossover, and auto-negotiation detects the speed of each connected device — 10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps. Any connection therefore works, including between two switches.
Does this switch make any noise?
None: the compact plastic casing has no fan, and cooling is entirely passive. It sits on a desk, slips behind a monitor or into a small cabinet, with no noise and no maintenance.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The manufacturer's document details the entire RG-ES series, with the capacities and environmental conditions of each model: datasheet (PDF).
