24-port Gigabit unmanaged switch in a 19″ rack-mount format for instant wired connectivity with no configuration.
The RG-ES124G-L has 24 RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, with 48 Gbps non-blocking switching and a 35.7 Mpps forwarding rate. The all-metal casing has a built-in passive heatsink: no fan, no noise, no moving parts. Each port withstands surges of up to 4 kV to cope with everyday electrical transients.
The plug-and-play design does away with configuration altogether. When a Ruijie managed switch is on the network, the RG-ES124G-L shows up read-only in Ruijie Cloud for network-wide visibility.

Does the RG-ES124G-L require any configuration before use?
No: it is an unmanaged switch, with no interface or app. It switches traffic as soon as it is switched on, with no VLANs or port settings to plan for. It is the right choice for adding 24 Gigabit ports to a rack, not for segmenting a network.
Can this 24-port switch really be mounted in a rack?
Yes: the all-metal casing is in 19-inch rack format and has a built-in passive heatsink — no fan, no moving parts. It therefore makes no noise and needs no filter maintenance in a shared room.
How much power should you plan for this model?
6 W at most for 24 Gigabit ports: about what a night light uses. It is one of the advantages of an unmanaged switch — no management processor to keep powered all the time, so very little heat to get rid of in the rack.
Can the ports withstand surges on the electrical network?
Each port withstands surges of up to 4 kV, enough to absorb the everyday electrical transients in a building. Useful protection when cables run through several rooms or serve devices installed outdoors.
Does this switch appear in Ruijie Cloud monitoring?
Yes, read-only, as soon as a Ruijie managed switch is present on the network: it then shows up in the site topology. You can see it, but not configure it — it is a troubleshooting aid, not management.
What internal performance does this 24-port model offer?
48 Gbps of switching capacity and 35.7 Mpps, with non-blocking switching: all 24 Gigabit ports can work together without getting in each other's way. That is the sizing you would expect from a 24-port access switch.
Do you need a crossover cable to daisy-chain this switch to another?
No: the ports correct the pinout on their own and negotiate the speed of each connected device — 10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps. Nothing needs to be done to connect this switch to another one, or to plug in a computer, a printer or a camera.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The fanless metal casing eliminates the main wear part of network equipment that is meant to stay switched on all the time in a patch rack.
