1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Do you need to install a driver to use the UE306 adapter?
No: it is plug and play on Windows 10 and 11, Linux (Ubuntu), Chrome OS, macOS 10.15 and later, as well as on Nintendo Switch. On Windows 7 and 8, a driver must be downloaded from the TP-Link website.
Does it work with the Nintendo Switch, and where do you plug it in?
Yes. It plugs into the USB port on the dock of the Nintendo Switch and gives it a Gigabit Ethernet connection, faster and more stable than Wi-Fi for downloads and online gaming. The console recognises it directly, with no installation.
Is the network cable supplied with the adapter?
The package contains the USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter and its quick installation guide: you will need to provide the RJ45 cable that will connect it to your internet box, router or switch. An LED indicator then shows the link status at a glance.
Will I really reach 1 Gbps with this adapter?
It handles 1000 Mbps, with its USB 3.0 port as input and its Gigabit Ethernet port as output. The actual throughput depends on the rest of the chain: the port on your internet box, router or switch, the category of the network cable and your provider's plan.
Which chipset does the UE306 use?
An AX88179. That is the name to search for to get a driver for an uncommon system or to check support in a particular distribution. On Linux (Ubuntu) and Chrome OS, the adapter is recognised without any intervention.
Is it compact enough to stay in a laptop bag permanently?
Yes: 20 g for 71 × 26 × 16.2 mm, with a retractable cable. It slips into a bag pocket and plugs in within seconds — an ideal backup for an ultrabook without an RJ45 port.
Is the adapter new and under warranty?
Yes: a new product in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It is CE, FCC and RoHS certified and designed to operate from 0 to 40 °C. Details are in the TP-Link datasheet (PDF).
