Do you need to run cables for the rear speakers of the JBL Bar 800?
No: the two surround speakers detach from the bar and run on battery. You place them behind the sofa for the length of a film, then put them back so they can recharge.
Does the JBL Bar 800 really deliver Dolby Atmos?
Yes, through two up-firing speakers that send sound towards the ceiling so it comes back down onto the listener. This is what creates the sense of height — impossible with front-facing speakers alone.
How much power does the JBL Bar 800 deliver?
720 W in total, wireless subwoofer included. This subwoofer measures 260 mm: it is the driver diameter that takes the bass lower, more than the stated power.
Does dialogue remain audible on the JBL Bar 800?
Yes, thanks to PureVoice, processing dedicated to dialogue clarity. It is the number one complaint about soundbars: music and explosions drown out voices, and you have to turn up the volume to understand.
How do you connect the JBL Bar 800 to the TV?
