1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Are the cables on this MSI MAG A500N-H unit detachable?
No, it is non-modular: all the cables come straight out of the unit and remain attached to it. Unused bundles will have to be stowed inside the case, so allow a little space behind the motherboard tray.
Of the 500 W advertised, how much is actually available for the processor and the graphics card?
The single +12 V rail delivers 38 A, i.e. 456 W of the 500 W: this is the line that powers the processor and the graphics card. The rest is shared between the +3.3 V and +5 V (14 A each, 105 W combined), plus 12.5 W on the +5 Vsb and 3.6 W on the -12 V.
Which connectors are available to wire up my build?
The fixed cabling includes the 24-pin ATX for the motherboard, two 4+4-pin EPS connectors for the processor and graphics power via 6+2-pin PCI-Express, supplemented by SATA, Molex and FDD connectors. The two EPS connectors cover motherboards that require more than one processor connector.
Does it work properly on the Moroccan power grid?
Yes: its input is designed for 200-240 V at 50-60 Hz, the local grid range, and it draws up to 6.3 A on the mains side. This range does, however, exclude 110 V. Its active PFC stabilises the power supply, protects equipment and reduces energy losses.
Is the unit's fan noisy under load?
The 120 mm fan adjusts its speed from 500 to 1,800 rpm according to demand, for an airflow of 19.8 to 71.3 CFM. Its fluid dynamic bearing reduces the noise generated while maintaining heat dissipation.
How are my components protected in the event of an electrical incident?
The unit includes industrial-grade protection against overload (OPP), short circuit (SCP) and under-voltage (UVP), supplemented by the active PFC. Its single-rail design delivers all the +12 V on one line. Its mean time before failure is stated as 150,000 hours at 25 °C.
Will it fit in my case?
It measures 140 × 150 × 86 mm: compare these dimensions with the power supply bay in your case. Since its cables are not detachable, also leave some room to route the 24-pin ATX cable and stow unused bundles.
Is the MSI MAG A500N-H power supply unit new and under warranty?
Yes: the unit is new and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the 1-year warranty. The reference to keep is 306-7ZPGX11-HH9. Details of the rails, connectors and protections are in the MSI datasheet (PDF).
