What can you connect to the iPad (A16)'s USB-C port?
An external drive, a dock or a display. The same port charges the tablet, which avoids any proprietary connector. It runs at USB 2.0, 480 Mbps: display output and peripherals work without any problem, while a large file transfer calls for more patience.
Can you show a presentation on an external display?
Yes, by connecting the iPad to the display through its USB-C port. It is the most direct way to show a document in a meeting or a classroom, without a dedicated docking station. The tablet continues to work normally while the display is in use.
Is the A16 chip enough for 4K video editing?
Yes. The 12 MP rear camera films in 4K and the A16 chip — 5-core CPU, 4-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine — handles editing directly on the tablet, with 6 GB of memory to keep other apps open alongside.
Does the iPad (A16)'s display stay readable in different lighting?
It reaches 500 nits and True Tone continuously adjusts the colour temperature to the light in the room: the picture stays comfortable from a neon-lit office to a living room in the evening. The resolution is 2360 × 1640 pixels on an actual 10.86 inches.
Does the 256 GB Silver iPad (A16) have Apple Intelligence?
No: these features are reserved for the iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini in the range. This iPad relies on the A16 chip's 16-core Neural Engine for Live Text, Visual Look Up and on-device photo and video processing.
How does the front camera perform in video calls?
The 12 MP Center Stage sensor is on the long edge and automatically reframes you when you move: you stay centred in the frame, with the tablet set horizontally. It is also in this position that the stereo speakers are distributed on either side of the screen.
Is the Magic Keyboard Folio included with this iPad?
No, it is sold separately. Its two-piece design combines a detachable keyboard and an adjustable back panel with stand, with 14 function keys and a fully clickable trackpad. It attaches magnetically, and you can keep just the back panel.
Which stylus works on the 256 GB iPad (A16)?
The Apple Pencil (USB-C) connects directly; the Apple Pencil (1st generation) requires the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Both are sold separately. Smart Script also improves the legibility of handwritten notes, and Math Notes solves equations written with the stylus.
How do you unlock the Silver iPad (A16)?
With Touch ID, the fingerprint reader housed in the top button: a press unlocks the tablet and approves a purchase, even when it is lying flat on a desk.
Is this iPad (A16) new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new and sealed, with a 1-year warranty; your invoice serves as proof. The chassis is made of recycled aluminium, in line with the carbon neutrality goal the brand has set for all its products by 2030.
