3 months manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 3 months by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is a Lexmark “Return Program” cartridge?
It is a patented cartridge sold at a lower price in exchange for a licence agreement: it can be used only once and is returned to Lexmark, which remanufactures or recycles it. Cartridges without this restriction are also available.
Can a C792A1CG cartridge be refilled after use?
No. It is licensed for single use only and designed to stop working once a set amount of toner has been delivered. If you want a refillable cartridge, look for the versions sold without the Return Program terms.
Is there toner left in the cartridge when the printer asks for a replacement?
Yes, a variable amount — Lexmark states this in black and white. That is the trade-off of the system: the cartridge stops at a set threshold, not at the last particle of powder. The quoted yield of 6,000 pages already takes this into account.
Which printers use the C792A1CG cyan cartridge?
The Lexmark C792 (C792e, C792de, C792dte, C792dhe) and the X792 (X792de, X792dte, X792dtme, X792dtfe, X792dtse, X792dtpe). The part number to check on the cartridge currently installed is C792A1CG.
How many pages does the C792A1CG cyan cartridge print?
Up to 6,000 standard pages, a composite yield declared for cyan, magenta and yellow according to the ISO/IEC 19798 standard, in single-sided printing. Double-sided printing or pages with heavy coverage lower this figure.
Does the cartridge change anything in the printer when it is installed?
Yes. It automatically updates the machine's memory to protect it against the insertion of counterfeit or unauthorised third-party cartridges. It is a safeguard built into the Return Program.
What should I do with the Lexmark cartridge once it is empty?
Send it back to Lexmark through the collection programme, which takes back the brand's used supplies. The service is stated to be free, and returning the cartridge is part of the commitment made when buying a Return Program cartridge.
How much space does the box of a C792 cartridge take up?
The packaging measures about 485 × 200 × 295 mm and weighs 2.5 kg — nearly 50 cm long. These are the dimensions of the box, not of the cartridge alone: set aside a shelf rather than a drawer for your reserve of colours.
Does the C792A1CG print anything other than cyan?
No, only cyan. Black, magenta and yellow are separate part numbers on the C792 and X792: check all four levels before ordering, as these departmental machines will not restart without the missing colour.
Can the toner in the C792 cartridge dry out in storage?
No. It is a dry powder: nothing evaporates and there is no nozzle to clog, even after months in storage. A cartridge kept in reserve remains usable on the day the machine calls for it.
Is this Lexmark cartridge new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new, genuine Lexmark supply, part number C792A1CG. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 3 months. Keep it: it is the document requested if a defect is found on the cartridge.
