The essentials, nothing superfluous

Standard brings together antivirus against ransomware, secure browsing, anti-phishing, a two-way firewall and payment protection, plus storage clean-up, app management and a Do Not Disturb mode to play or watch a film without interruption. The VPN and the password manager are not part of it: they come with Kaspersky Plus.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which devices can this licence be installed on?
On a single device, of your choice: a PC running Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7 SP1, a Mac running macOS 14 to 26, an Android 11 to 16 smartphone or tablet, or an iPhone or iPad running iOS 26. To protect several devices in the household, the Standard edition also comes in a 3-device version.
What protections does the Standard edition include?
Antivirus against viruses, malware and ransomware, secure browsing, anti-phishing and scam protection, a two-way firewall and online payment protection. Performance tools are added: storage clean-up, app management and Do Not Disturb mode.
What does Kaspersky Standard not include compared with Plus and Premium?
The VPN, the password manager, data leak checking, protection against crypto threats and hard drive health monitoring come with Kaspersky Plus. Safe Kids parental control, the identity vault and remote assistance from an expert are reserved for Premium.
Do you need an account and an Internet connection?
Yes: a My Kaspersky account is essential, and an Internet connection is needed to activate the licence, receive updates and use some features. The same account is used to adjust the protection and renew the subscription from anywhere with a connection.
What configuration is needed on a PC or a phone?
On Windows: a 1 GHz processor or faster, x86 or x64, 1 GB of RAM on 32-bit or 2 GB on 64-bit and a screen of at least 1,024 × 768. On Android, allow 150 MB of free space and a screen of at least 320 × 480; on iPhone and iPad, 150 MB of free space.
Does it protect the webcam and microphone?
Yes, on computers only: webcam and microphone control works on PC and Mac, with a range of compatible cameras. It is one of the privacy tools that prevent unauthorised online tracking and the use of your peripherals without your knowledge.
What happens at the end of the one-year subscription?
The licence corresponds to a one-year subscription. At the end, a renewal lets you keep receiving updates and keep the protection active on the device. It is managed from the My Kaspersky account, to which the protected device and the licence are linked.
