A digital desk phone that plugs into your phone system.
The 8029 Premium DeskPhone connects to a digital line of an Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise communication server: OmniPCX Office RCE, OXO Connect or OmniPCX Enterprise. It brings that system's business telephony services to the desk, with a backlit display, hands-free and an AZERTY alphabetical keyboard supplied with the phone.

The system line also supplies the power
The phone draws its power from the digital line that links it to the phone system (PoDL): no power adapter under the desk, the phone connects through its RJ-12 port. Alcatel-Lucent presents it as compatible with the 40x9 series digital phones and designed to make the most of Alcatel-Lucent systems already in place.
Keys that save you from digging through menus
Around the 64 x 128 pixel display, six contextual keys change role with the call. Four programmable keys with LEDs and paper labels keep the most used numbers or features at your fingertips. Depending on the system, the phone handles up to 68 function keys on OmniPCX Enterprise and 36 on OXO Connect or OmniPCX Office RCE.
The 8029 is the simpler of the two Premium digital phones: the 8039 moves up to a 100 x 160 pixel display with four grey levels and ten contextual keys.
It adapts to the workstation
A dedicated 3.5 mm jack headset port frees your hands during long calls, in addition to full-duplex hands-free with echo cancellation. Its SATA connector takes an optional 10 or 40-key add-on module, or a 14-key display module, for more direct keys; the Premium kit 3MG27110AA lets you mount the phone on a wall. On a desk, its stand adjusts from 25° to 60°.
