Does the Canon P-208II scanner need a mains socket?
No. It is powered solely by the USB cable: no AC adapter to carry around. At only 600 g, it slips into a laptop bag.
Does the P-208II scan both sides at the same time?
Yes, it handles single-pass duplex scanning (both sides at once), which saves a great deal of time.
How many sheets can the automatic feeder hold?
The feeder takes up to 10 sheets (64 g/m² paper), so you can scan a small batch in a single operation.
How fast does the Canon P-208II scan?
Up to 8 pages/min, i.e. 16 images/min in duplex at 200 dpi. The recommended volume is approximately 100 scans per day.

Do I need to install a driver before scanning with the P-208II?
No. The CaptureOnTouch Lite software is built into the scanner: simply connect it via USB to scan (“plug-and-scan” function), with no installation.
Can the P-208II scanner work over Wi-Fi or with an iPhone/Android device?
Not out of the box: it connects via USB 2.0. Wireless scanning is possible with the optional WU10 Wi-Fi unit (battery ~400 images) and the CaptureOnTouch Mobile app (iOS/Android).
Is the Canon P-208II Mac-compatible?
Yes, it is compatible with Windows and Mac (ISIS/TWAIN drivers on Windows, TWAIN on Mac).
