This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Are the batteries included, and how long do they last?
Yes: 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard and 1 AA battery for the mouse are in the box, along with the USB receiver and the documentation. Battery life is up to 36 months, and there is a battery level indicator as well as an on/off switch.
Do you need software to program the keys, and on which system?
Yes, Dell Peripheral Manager, which installs on Windows 10 or later. It programs the F1 to F12 keys and the clickable scroll wheel, adjusts the DPI, pairs devices, shows battery status and updates the firmware.
What is the mouse's sensitivity, and can it be changed?
1,600 DPI by default, adjustable to 1,000, 1,600, 2,400 or 4,000 DPI via Dell Peripheral Manager, for precise tracking whatever the screen resolution. The sensor is an LED optical sensor.
Is the mouse suitable for a left-handed user?
Yes, its shape is symmetrical, designed for the left hand as well as the right. It has 3 buttons, including the middle click on the mechanical scroll wheel, which is also programmable. It measures 115 x 62 x 39 mm and weighs 65 g without the battery, a compact size that slips easily into a laptop bag.
Is this keyboard quiet enough for video calls or an open-plan office?
Yes. Its plunger key mechanism makes it one of the quietest wireless keyboards, whether on a conference call or close to colleagues. Two tilt legs offer 2 typing angles (5° and 9°), enough to find the most comfortable wrist position.
Do you need two USB ports to connect the keyboard and mouse?
No, just one: the keyboard and mouse share the same 2.4 GHz USB receiver, supplied in the box. So only one USB port is taken up on the computer, and pairing can be managed from Dell Peripheral Manager if needed.
Does it work on a Mac, Linux or a Chromebook?
Yes. The 2.4 GHz connection is supported on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, macOS, Linux (Red Hat Enterprise 8.0, Ubuntu 18.4), Chrome OS and Android. The only caveat: Dell Peripheral Manager, which customises the keys and DPI, requires Windows 10 or later.
Are keystrokes sent unencrypted between the keyboard and its receiver?
No: they are protected by 128-bit AES encryption, which matters as soon as you type passwords at the office. The set has also been tested to work smoothly with Dell systems.
Will the keyboard fit on my desk, and what is its layout?
It is a full-size AZERTY keyboard, numeric keypad included: allow 433 mm in width, 123 mm in depth and 34 mm in height, for 400 g without batteries. Three media keys (volume up, volume down, mute) complete the function row.
Is the Dell KM5221W combo new and under warranty?
Yes: new, genuine and sealed in its packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the 1-year warranty document. Details of the dimensions, DPI and system compatibility are in the manufacturer datasheet (PDF).
