Is the MK270 keyboard AZERTY or QWERTY?
QWERTY, and it is worth knowing before you order: this is not the layout of a French AZERTY keyboard. For everyday typing in French, it takes some getting used to.
Do you need two USB ports for the keyboard and mouse?
No, one is enough: both devices go through the same Unifying nano receiver, over a 2.4 GHz wireless link, with a stated range of 10 metres. On a laptop where every port counts, that frees up a USB port.
Can you add other Logitech devices to the same receiver?
Yes, that is the whole point of the Unifying receiver: it handles all your compatible devices on a single USB port, without multiplying dongles.
Is the keyboard backlit, and does it have a numeric keypad?
No backlighting on this model, so the room needs to be lit. On the other hand, the numeric keypad is there — welcome for accounting data entry — and the keyboard has 8 shortcut keys, media keys included.
Are the batteries included with the combo?
Yes, they are in the box: 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard and 1 AA battery for the mouse. The package also contains the keyboard, the mouse, the Unifying nano receiver and the user documentation — nothing else to buy to get started.
Can the keyboard survive a spilled glass?
It has a spill-resistant design: it can take accidental splashes. Be careful with a full glass, though: the protection is designed for splashes.
Is the MK270 combo new and under warranty?
