Does the HP ProOne 240 G10 come with Windows installed?
No. It comes with FreeDOS, without Windows: plan to buy and install the operating system. The machine is designed for Windows 11 Pro or Home, to be installed on the SSD. Windows 7 and 8 are not supported on this processor generation.
Can memory be added, and up to how much?
Yes. The 8 GB is fitted as a single module (1 × 8 GB), while the machine has two SODIMM slots: that leaves one free slot. The maximum supported is 32 GB of DDR4-3200.
Can a second drive be added alongside the 512 GB SSD?
Yes. The 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD occupies the M.2 2280 slot; that leaves a SATA connector and a 2.5-inch drive bay, designed for a hard drive of up to 1 TB. The third slot, an M.2 2230, is reserved for the Wi-Fi card.
Is there a DVD drive on this all-in-one?
No, the optical drive is not included. To read or burn CDs and DVDs, you need an external USB drive: preferably connect it to one of the two 5 Gbps USB-A ports rather than to the USB 2.0 ports.
How many USB ports are there, and which ones are actually fast?
Five USB ports, including three at 5 Gbps: 1 USB Type-C and 2 USB Type-A. The other two are USB 2.0, which is considerably slower. Keep those for the keyboard, the mouse or an occasional flash drive, and save the 5 Gbps ports for your external drives.
Is the 23.8-inch screen a touchscreen, and is the panel matte or glossy?
It is not a touchscreen, and the panel is anti-glare, therefore matte: Full HD IPS 1920 × 1080, 250 nits, 72% NTSC, with micro-edge bezels on three sides. The anti-glare treatment limits reflections from a window or a ceiling light above the workstation.
Can the screen and camera be tilted for video conferencing?
Yes, both. The screen tilts 5° forward and 20° backward, and the camera 20° forward and 5° backward. So you can frame your face properly without propping books under the machine.
Can the webcam be hidden when not in use?
Yes: the 5-megapixel camera is retractable; you push it back into the chassis as soon as you no longer need it. It has two digital microphones, complemented by an internal speaker and a headphone/microphone combo jack.
Can you play games or do 3D work on this ProOne 240 G10?
No. Graphics rely on the processor's integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics: no dedicated graphics card, and the internal slots are limited to M.2 and SATA. Office work, web browsing, video conferencing and business applications: yes. Demanding 3D gaming or heavy video editing: no.
Are the keyboard and mouse supplied, and is the keyboard AZERTY?
Yes, both are supplied: an HP 125 wired keyboard in French AZERTY and an HP 125 wired optical mouse. They connect via USB: that takes up two of the five ports, leaving three free for your peripherals.
Is the power supply built in, or is an external adapter needed on the desk?
It is a 90 W external adapter, as on a laptop: plan space for the adapter and its cable under the desk. In return, the unit stays slim — 18.4 cm deep for 54.1 cm wide and 41.9 cm high — and weighs 5.37 kg.
Is Wi-Fi required to connect it to the company network?
No: a Gigabit RJ-45 port is built in, in addition to Wi-Fi 6 (2×2) and Bluetooth 5.3. You can therefore connect the workstation to the wired network, with Wi-Fi 6 taking over where running a network cable to the reception counter is not an option.
Does this model meet environmental criteria for corporate purchasing?
It is EPEAT Gold registered and declared low halogen (excluding the power supply, cables and external peripherals). It is also rated to operate from 10 to 35 °C and at 10 to 90% relative humidity.
Is the computer new, and how long is the warranty?
Yes, new and sealed, delivered with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 3 years. Details of the configurations, internal slots and connectivity are in the HP datasheet (PDF).
