Is the Windows supplied with this HP AI 24 a full version of Windows?
It comes with Windows 11 Home Single Language in S mode, an edition limited to a single interface language. Switching out of S mode is free but permanent: once done, it cannot be turned back on. It is also required in order to use the preinstalled McAfee.
Can the preinstalled software be used without paying anything?
They are trial versions: 30 days of McAfee Online Protection, 1 month of Adobe, 3 months of PC Game Pass and 1 month of Microsoft 365 for new customers. The McAfee subscription must be renewed at the end of the trial, and McAfee does not work in S mode.
How do you take advantage of the 25 GB of free Dropbox storage?
The offer gives 25 GB of Dropbox space for 12 months, counted from the date the PC is registered, so remember to activate it promptly. Internet access is required and is not included. On the software side, HP adds its own HP Support Assistant and HP Connection Optimizer.
Is there a free memory slot left, and can the processor be replaced?
There are two SODIMM slots, with only one occupied by the 16 GB DDR5-5600 module: one slot remains free for an upgrade. The processor, a Core Ultra 7 255U with 12 cores and 14 threads boosting up to 5.2 GHz, is BGA-mounted: it is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be changed.
Can a second SSD be added alongside the 512 GB?
No: the two M.2 slots are already allocated, one to the SSD and one to the Wi-Fi card. No additional bay is available and no optical drive is supplied. For large volumes of data, plan on an external USB drive.
What does this PC's “Intel AI Boost” NPU actually do?
The Core Ultra 7 255U integrates a 12 TOPS neural processing unit dedicated to artificial intelligence workloads. Worth knowing: the features that use it may require the purchase, subscription or activation of third-party software, and their performance varies with usage and configuration.
Is the screen a touchscreen, and does it tire the eyes over long periods?
Yes, the 23.8-inch Full HD panel is a touchscreen, an anti-glare IPS panel with 300 nits and 99% of the sRGB colour space. It is also flicker-free: the LED backlight uses DC dimming. The micro-edge bezels on three sides free up the display area.
Can a second screen be connected to it?
Yes, through the HDMI 1.4 output at the back, the machine's only video connector. Mind the direction: it is an output, which sends the picture to a monitor or TV. The resolution you get then depends on the connected screen and the content displayed.
How many USB ports does it offer, and at what speed?
Five in total: 1 USB Type-C and 2 USB Type-A at 5 Gbps, plus 2 USB 2.0 Type-A. There is also a combined headphone/microphone jack and a Gigabit RJ-45 port based on a Realtek RTL8111HSH-CG controller. The two USB 2.0 ports are ideal for the supplied wired keyboard and mouse.
Is the supplied keyboard AZERTY?
Yes: a white HP 125 wired keyboard in French AZERTY, together with a white HP 125 wired mouse, both matching the PC's Shell White finish. Both connect via USB. The stand is an entry-level design with a textured finish.
Can the webcam be covered during calls?
Yes: it is a tilting privacy camera, which you tilt away to disable it. It records in 1080p FHD with temporal noise reduction, and two dual-array digital microphones are built in. Two stereo speakers round out the setup for video conferencing.
Can Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 be used to their full potential right away?
The Realtek RTL8852BE card provides 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Bluetooth works as Bluetooth 5.2 or lower until the operating system supports version 5.3. As for Wi-Fi, reaching gigabit-class speeds requires a router that supports 80 MHz or wider channels, sold separately.
Does this HP All-in-One contain recycled materials?
Yes, with figures to back it up: 40% post-consumer recycled plastic, plastics made from waste recovered from the environment and 10% recycled metal. Its footprint is declared at 260 kg of CO2 equivalent over the whole life cycle, 179 kg of which comes from production alone, calculated according to the ISO 14040 and 14044 standards.

Is the HP AI 24-cr2013nk new, and what exactly does its warranty cover?
