S mode restricts installation to apps from the Microsoft Store and makes Edge the required browser. It is a security setting, and Microsoft lets you switch out of it free of charge — switching out is permanent.
Can memory be added to the HP AI 24-cr2015nk?
It has two SODIMM slots, only one of which is occupied: the 16 GB of DDR5-5600 supplied comes as a single module. The second slot therefore remains free.
What is the NPU in this HP all-in-one for?
It is a processor dedicated to artificial intelligence tasks, rated at 12 TOPS. It takes AI features — background blur in video calls, assisted photo editing — off the main processor, and uses less power doing so.
