Frequently asked questions about this product
Where should the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender be placed?
Halfway between the internet box and the poorly covered area — and a 3-bar indicator confirms it on the spot. Too far from the box, the extender amplifies an already degraded signal; too close, it serves no purpose.
How many devices can the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender serve?
8 users recommended, 16 at most. These are two different figures: the first describes comfortable use, the second the technical limit — beyond eight active devices, the bandwidth is shared noticeably.
How do I pair the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender with the internet box?
By pressing the WPS button: no password to enter, pairing happens on its own. It then offers three modes — repeater, WISP or access point — depending on whether it picks up a signal or starts from an Ethernet socket.
Does the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender really amplify the signal?
It has two amplifiers that double the power of the signal it picks up, and two 4 dBi external omnidirectional antennas to rebroadcast it. It works in 2×2 MIMO on the 2.4 GHz band.
Does the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender offer guest Wi-Fi?
Yes, as well as network name hiding. The guest network keeps visitors separate from personal devices — the only simple way to let someone connect without giving them access to the rest of the household.
How much space does the Reyee RG-EW300R range extender take up?
92 x 70 x 38 mm, plugged into a wall socket. It is controlled and updated from an app with cloud management, without going through a web interface you have to find in a browser.
Is the Reyee RG-EW300R Wi-Fi range extender new and under warranty?
New, reference RG-EW300R, in original Reyee packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for if you make a claim.
