Yes, in 21 languages. The 160 languages advertised, on the other hand, require a Wi-Fi connection. Two figures, two situations: check that the language of your destination is among the 21 available offline.

Yes: its 5-megapixel camera captures and translates text and images. Menus, road signs and documents become readable — often a more useful feature when travelling than voice translation.
