This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many cameras does the UNV XVR302-32Q3 recorder accept?
32 video channels. It centralises recording and viewing of the cameras on a single site, and can be managed both from the device itself and remotely, within a Uniview video surveillance system.
How many disks can the XVR302-32Q3 take?
Two, on two SATA interfaces, of 8 TB each. Two slots make all the difference on 32 channels: they double the recording retention period without having to lower the cameras' resolution.
Is the stated 8 TB capacity always achievable?
Not under all conditions: the maximum capacity actually supported varies with the ambient temperature of the room. A recorder installed in a hot, poorly ventilated room sees its margin shrink — a factor to take into account when choosing where to install it.
How can the XVR302-32Q3 be reached from outside the site?
Through P2P, which sets up the connection without configuring the router, or through DDNS, which keeps the recorder reachable despite a changing public IP address. UPnP takes care of opening the ports if needed.
Can remote viewing be encrypted?
Yes, with HTTPS. This is the setting to enable as soon as the recorder can be reached from the Internet: over plain HTTP, login credentials and images travel unencrypted across the network, within reach of anyone listening in on the connection.
Can the recorder send an e-mail notification when an event occurs?
It supports the SMTP protocol, which lets a device send e-mail. This is how a recorder reports motion detection or loss of signal from a camera, without you having to open the interface.
How does the recording time stay accurate across 32 cameras?
Through the NTP protocol, which synchronises the recorder's clock with a time server. On an installation of this size, it is essential: video evidence whose timestamp has drifted loses part of its value.
Is the UNV XVR302-32Q3 recorder new and under warranty?
New, reference XVR302-32Q3, in original Uniview packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested if you make a claim.
