the computer records every channel.
The AR12c is a 14-channel analog mixer with real faders, eight XMAX mic preamps and a built-in USB-C audio interface. It serves rehearsals and concerts as well as podcasts and the home studio, and keeps a record of the mix on an SD card without a computer.

Every channel on its own track, in one click
Connected over USB-C, the AR12c sends every channel and the main mix to the computer, in 24-bit up to 96 kHz. The Capture software recognises the mixer and starts multitrack recording in one click; its sessions then open in Fender Studio Pro, whose licence comes with product registration. For a simple capture, the USB 1/2 Send button places the main mix on the first two tracks. In the other direction, two stereo returns from the computer come back on the Super Channel and on the last stereo channel.
One stereo channel for everything else
The 13/14 Super Channel sums up whatever is not a microphone: RCA inputs, 3.5 mm mini-jack, a phone over Bluetooth 5.0 and playback from the SD card or USB. Right next to it, the stereo recorder captures the main mix as 24-bit WAV on an SD or SDHC card up to 32 GB, and plays back WAV and MP3: enough to keep a rehearsal or play background music without a computer.
Stage monitors and effects to dose
Two auxiliary sends, each with its own jack output, prepare two monitor mixes for the musicians. The stereo processor offers sixteen presets, from halls and plate to delays of 300 to 480 ms, tape echo and chorus; each channel sets its amount of effect, and the return is dosed in the front of house as well as in the monitors. A pedal plugged into the Footswitch jack mutes the effects between two songs.

48 V phantom power switches on for all mic inputs at once: mute the channels before engaging it, and keep it off if a ribbon microphone is connected.

Can every channel be recorded separately on a computer?
Yes: the USB interface sends 14 channels to the computer, every channel and the main mix, in 24-bit up to 96 kHz. The Capture software sets up multitrack recording in one click, and its sessions open in Fender Studio Pro, supplied with product registration.
Does the SD recorder record all the tracks?
No, it records the main mix in stereo, as 24-bit WAV at 44.1 kHz, on an SD or SDHC card up to 32 GB, not included. It is the tool for keeping a record of a rehearsal or a concert without a computer; for multitrack, you go through USB.
How many mics can be connected to the AR12c?
Eight, on eight XLR inputs with XMAX preamps, with 48 V phantom power shared by all mic inputs. Two passive instruments, guitar or bass, plug straight into Hi-Z on channels 1 and 2, and the twelve line inputs take keyboards, synthesizers and players.
Can phantom power be set channel by channel?
No, it is global: a single button turns it on for all mic inputs. So mute the channels before engaging it, and check that the connected dynamic mics tolerate it: a ribbon microphone, in particular, can be damaged by 48 V.
How many monitor mixes can be created?
Two, on the two auxiliary sends, each with its own jack output. The FX output can serve as a third monitor mix when you do without the internal effects, since using it bypasses the effects processor.
Which effects are built into the mixer?
A stereo processor with 16 presets: hall, cathedral, studio and plate reverbs, delays of 300 to 480 ms, tape echo, slapback and chorus. Each channel has its effects send, the return is dosed in the front of house as well as in the monitors, and a pedal (not included) mutes the effects.
Can the AR12c be rack-mounted?
Yes, with the rack ear kit specific to the AR12c, sold separately. On a table, it measures 381 mm wide, 397 mm deep and 90 mm high, for 5.4 kg, and connects to the mains with an IEC cord supplied.
