The BP5200DW prints in black and white at 42 A4 pages per minute, handles duplex on its own and delivers the first page in 5.9 s at most. Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct make it available to a whole office, computers and phones alike.

Toner and drum each live their own life
On the BP5200DW, the toner and the drum are two separate parts. The DL-5220 drum is rated for 30000 pages; the toner is replaced on its own, in the size that matches the office's volume: TL-5220 for 3000 pages, TL-5220H for 6000 pages or TL-5220X for 15000 pages. The printer ships with a 3000-page toner and a full drum.
The document waits for its owner
Confidential printing holds a contract or a payslip until a four-digit code is entered on the printer. The document only comes out when the person who sent it is standing there.
The control panel combines the two-line LCD screen and the navigation keys; an NFC area lets an Android phone start the connection.
The whole office connects to it
Gigabit Ethernet for the wired network, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz for cable-free desks, Wi-Fi Direct set up in 10 seconds to print without a router, and Bluetooth to simplify Wi-Fi setup. Phones print through AirPrint, Mopria or the Pantum app. On the software side, the PCL 5e, PCL 6 and PostScript languages come on top of GDI, on Windows, macOS 10.10 to 14.3 and Linux.

As standard, the 250-sheet cassette takes paper from 60 to 120 g/m² and the 60-sheet multi-purpose tray goes up to 200 g/m², for cardstock, labels and DL, C5 or Monarch envelopes. Two 550-sheet PT-511H trays raise input to 1410 sheets. The 150-sheet output tray signals when it is full, and a quiet mode lowers noise to 50 dB(A).

The BP5200DW does not print from a USB flash drive: its rear USB port is for connecting a computer. To print without a computer, use a phone, over Wi-Fi Direct or through AirPrint and Mopria.

Are the toner and drum of the BP5200DW separate?
Yes: the BP5200DW uses a separate toner and drum. The DL-5220 drum lasts about 30,000 pages, the toner is replaced on its own: TL-5220 with 3,000 pages, TL-5220H with 6,000 pages or TL-5220X with 15,000 pages.
Which consumables are supplied with the printer?
A 3,000-page starter toner and the 30,000-page drum are supplied with the printer. The starting drum is therefore a full drum, not a reduced version.
Can you print from a phone?
Yes: via AirPrint, Mopria or the Pantum app, over Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct without going through the router. On Android, simply bring the phone close to the NFC area to start the connection.
What paper capacity can be reached?
As standard, a 250-sheet cassette and a 60-sheet multi-purpose tray. With two optional 550-sheet PT-511H trays, the input rises to 1,410 sheets. The output tray holds 150 sheets and detects when it is full.
Can a confidential document be protected when printing?
Yes: confidential printing holds the document until a 4-digit code is entered on the printer. The document is not printed until the person is standing at the machine.
Is it compatible with software that requires PostScript?
Yes: the BP5200DW understands the PCL 5e, PCL 6 and PostScript languages in addition to GDI. It therefore integrates with business software and with Windows, macOS 10.10 to 14.3 and Linux workstations in the office.
