A vertical power strip for a server rack, fed at 32 A, that displays what your equipment consumes and reports it over the network. It mounts on the side of the rack and takes no rack unit away from the servers.

Two banks, two breakers
The 24 outlets are split into two identical banks of ten C13 and two C19, each protected by its own 16 A hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker. The C13 outlets take 10 A each, for servers and switches; the C19 outlets go up to 16 A for more demanding equipment, such as a storage chassis.
Consumption, read without opening the rack
The strip's display gives the reading on the spot, page after page, with a single scroll button. Connected to the network through its Gigabit RJ45 port, it can be viewed and configured remotely through a web interface, over SNMP or from the command line. You set alarm thresholds: it flags circuits approaching overload before a breaker trips. The In and Out ports let several strips share a single network connection, and the USB port is used to load new firmware or retrieve the logs.
A sensor to watch over the rack
Its I/O port takes the APC EPDU-TH or EPDU-TH3 temperature and humidity sensor, sold separately: the same interface then tracks the rack environment. The strip itself operates between -5 and 50 °C, up to 3,000 m altitude.
Installed without tools
The mounting pegs are fitted at the factory: slide them into the holes of the rear rack channel, then push the strip down until it clicks. Two brackets and their screws are also supplied for a screwed installation. At 1,400 mm high and 56 mm across for 3.35 kg, it fits into the rear channel of the rack.

The plug is a 32 A industrial connector, not an ordinary wall plug: provide an IEC 60309 32 A socket on a dedicated circuit, protected by a breaker of the same rating. Extension cords and adapters are ruled out by APC.

Which wall socket does the Easy PDU EPDU2132M need?
A single-phase 32 A IEC 60309 industrial socket (2P+E), since the strip comes with a plug of this type on a fixed 3 m cord. APC requires connecting it to a dedicated circuit protected by a breaker or fuse of the same rating, on an earthed socket that is close by and accessible. Extension cords and adapters are ruled out.
How many devices can be connected to the EPDU2132M?
Up to 24: 20 C13 outlets, limited to 10 A each, for servers and network equipment, and 4 C19 outlets, limited to 16 A, for more demanding devices. They are split into two banks of 10 C13 and 2 C19, each protected by its own 16 A breaker; total capacity is 7,360 VA.
