A whole office
in twelve litres.

A straight, compact backpack designed for a MacBook Pro 13 or a 13.3-inch ultrabook: the laptop and the tablet each have their protected space, and every accessory finds its pocket without turning the bag into a catch-all.

Laptop and tablet, never touching

The laptop compartment measures 240 x 340 x 20 mm: it takes a slim 13.3-inch laptop, and an inner pocket keeps a place for a 10-inch tablet. Its sides are padded and its bottom has a padded insert that cushions the bag when it is put down.

It closes with a water-resistant zip: a short shower or a coffee spilled on the table stays outside.

A pocket for every item

Behind the laptop, a zipped compartment holds a document pocket, two zipped pockets and a place for a bottle or an umbrella. At the front, a zipped pocket keeps the charger, a power bank, pens, business cards and phone within reach.

Recycled mélange, clean finishes

The grey and black fabric of the Lantau collection and its faux leather panels are made from recycled polyester: 35% of the bag's weight, the equivalent of about ten plastic bottles. The metal zip pullers carry the brand name, and each Lantau bag has a code of its own stitched into its lining.

A thick 13.3-inch laptop will not fit: the compartment is 2 cm deep. For a 15.6-inch laptop, the Lantau 8861 backpack takes over.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which laptop can be slipped into the Rivacase 8825 backpack?
A laptop of 13.3 inches at most, MacBook Pro 13 or ultrabook. The laptop compartment measures 240 x 340 x 20 mm: measure your machine, especially its thickness, as 2 cm suits an ultrabook but not a thick laptop. For a 15.6-inch model, the 8861 from the same collection takes over.
Does the Rivacase 8825 have room for a tablet?
Yes. The laptop compartment includes a dedicated pocket for a tablet of up to 10 inches, and the bottom of this compartment has a padded insert. Laptop and tablet travel separately, without touching, in the same space protected by a water-resistant zip.
Does the 8825 backpack protect against rain?
It protects against splashes and moisture: the laptop compartment closes with a water-resistant zip, and the faux leather and polyester exterior resists dust and minor knocks. It is not a waterproof bag: in a prolonged downpour, it is best not to leave it exposed for long.
How much can be carried in addition to the laptop?
The bag offers 12 litres: a zipped compartment with a document pocket, two zipped pockets, a pocket for a bottle or umbrella, and a zipped front pocket for the charger, a power bank, business cards, pens and phone. Enough for a day at the office or at meetings without an extra bag.
Is the Rivacase 8825 made of recycled materials?
Partly: 35% of the bag's weight is recycled polyester (RPET), the equivalent of about ten plastic bottles of 500 ml. The grey and black mélange fabric and the PU faux leather of the Lantau collection come from this recycled polyester; the lining is polyester.
Is the 8825 backpack comfortable to wear all day?
It weighs 605 g empty and its shoulder straps and handle are padded to spread the load. A Velcro system holds excess strap so it does not dangle. Its compact 25 x 35 x 13 cm format slips easily under a plane or train seat.
