The large Lantau,
ready for travel.

Seventeen litres for a MacBook Pro 16 or a 15.6-inch laptop, its tablet and the day that goes with them, in a backpack of recycled mélange fabric that attaches to a suitcase.

On the suitcase, papers out of sight

The trolley strap on the back slides over the handle of a rolling suitcase and hides a zipped pocket for passport and wallet. The 270 x 385 x 35 mm laptop compartment keeps a pocket for a 10-inch tablet and closes with a water-resistant zip.

In front, a large compartment with a document pocket, two zipped pockets, a place for a bottle and a front pocket for the charger and phone.

Which laptop fits in the Rivacase 8861 backpack?
A 15.6-inch laptop or a MacBook Pro 16. The laptop compartment measures 270 x 385 x 35 mm: 3.5 cm of thickness is enough for most office laptops. For a 13.3-inch model, the 8825 from the same Lantau collection is more compact and lighter.
Can the Rivacase 8861 be attached to a suitcase?
Yes. A trolley strap on the back secures it to the handle of a rolling suitcase, and it hides a zipped anti-theft pocket for your passport and wallet. At the airport or the station, the bag rests on the suitcase and your papers stay out of reach of prying hands.
What is the capacity of the 8861 backpack?
17 litres, split between the laptop compartment with its tablet pocket, a large zipped compartment with a document pocket, two zipped pockets, a pocket for a bottle or umbrella and a zipped front pocket for the charger, power bank, pens and phone.
Does the 8861 bag protect the laptop from water?
It protects it from everyday moisture: the laptop compartment closes with a water-resistant zip, its sides are padded and its bottom has a padded insert. The faux leather and polyester exterior resists dust and scratches. It is not a waterproof bag for heavy, prolonged rain.
Does the Rivacase 8861 stay comfortable when loaded?
It weighs 835 g empty; its handle and shoulder straps are padded, and a Velcro system tidies away excess strap. Its dimensions of 29 x 15.5 x 41.5 cm remain those of an office bag, suited to daily commutes as well as business trips.
How much recycled material does the 8861 backpack contain?
40% of the bag's weight is recycled RPET polyester, the equivalent of about 19 plastic bottles of 500 ml. The mélange fabric and the PU faux leather are made from it, and the lining is polyester. Each Lantau bag also carries a unique identification code stitched inside.
