Rivacase Eden ECO · Reference 7856 olive green

Twenty litres,
the laptop and the weekend.

The Eden collection backpack holds a 15.6-inch laptop and an 11-inch tablet in their pockets, and keeps a large free volume for the day's things or a few clothes. Its matte, water-repellent RPET faux leather gives it the look of a city bag rather than a hiking pack.

Everything at its own level

The load is stored on three levels. At the top of the front, a zipped pocket takes an A4 notebook or folder flat. Just below, a second pocket splits into two sleeves: the phone on one side, the power bank on the other. The large compartment, which opens wide, takes the laptop and tablet in their dedicated pockets, a zipped pocket for valuables, and everything else.

A back that breathes, straps that don't dangle

The back panel is made of airy mesh and the shoulder straps are padded. A sternum strap connects them: it slides up and down and adjusts in length, keeping the load in place on a bike or on stairs. Each strap end rolls up and fastens with a hook-and-loop band, and a strap on the back slides over the handle of a rolling suitcase for a station or an airport.

A matte fabric that sheds the rain

The material is RPET faux leather: half of the bag's weight, 51%, is recycled polyester, equivalent in mass to about a dozen 50 cl bottles. Water-repellent, it lets splashes and light rain run off, and the zips run under the fabric, branded pullers included. It is not a waterproof bag, though: in a long downpour, don't leave it outside.

Which laptop fits in the Rivacase 7856 backpack?
A laptop up to 15.6 inches, in a 40 x 25 x 3 cm pocket. A separate pocket also holds an 11-inch tablet. Measure your device: the pocket dimensions, more than the diagonal, tell you whether a thick 15.6-inch model or one with wide bezels will slide in easily.
Is the Rivacase 7856 bag suitable for a short trip?
Yes. With 20 litres, the main compartment takes everyday items or clothes for a short trip, alongside the laptop and tablet. The trolley strap attaches it to the handle of a rolling suitcase, which takes the load off your back in a station or airport.
How are the front pockets organised?
Two stacked zipped pockets: the upper pocket takes A4 documents — notebook, folder, notepad — and the lower pocket contains two inner pockets for your phone and a power bank. You grab the essentials without opening the main compartment.
Is this backpack comfortable on long journeys?
The back is made of breathable mesh that lets air circulate, the shoulder straps are padded and an adjustable sternum strap, adjustable in height and length, connects them to stabilise the load. The strap ends roll up and fasten with hook-and-loop: nothing dangles or catches in a door or a bicycle.
Is the Rivacase 7856 bag rain-resistant?
It is made of water-repellent RPET faux leather: splashes and light rain run off the surface. Its concealed zips under the fabric limit water entry. It is not a waterproof bag: in heavy, prolonged rain, it is best not to leave it exposed.
Is this backpack made from recycled material?
Yes: 51% of its weight is recycled polyester. The recycled polyester in the outer material weighs about as much as twelve 50 cl plastic bottles, excluding caps and labels. The matte olive green faux leather, two-tone on the sides, gives it an understated urban look.
