How many Ethernet ports does each Deco X50 unit have?
Each unit has 3 Gigabit ports (auto-sensing WAN/LAN). One connects to your internet box; the others remain free for plugging in wired devices or for an Ethernet backhaul.
Does the network keep a single name as I move around the house?
Yes. The units form a single network (one Wi-Fi name) with seamless roaming (802.11k/v/r): your device automatically switches to the fastest unit, without dropping the connection.
Does the Deco X50 work with my current internet box?
Yes, it is compatible with all internet boxes on the market. It can run in router mode or in access point mode, depending on your setup.
Is the Deco X50's HomeShield security completely free?
The HomeShield Basic plan is free (network protection, parental controls, basic QoS). Some advanced features are part of the paid Pro plan: it is optional.
Does the Deco X50 support WPA3 and offer parental controls?
Yes: WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption, an SPI firewall, and parental controls (profiles, time limits, content filtering) via the Deco app.
Can I extend the Wi-Fi coverage later?
Yes. Simply add a Deco unit, which joins the network automatically. The X50 is also compatible with all other Deco models.
Is the Deco X50 complicated to set up?
No: connect the first unit to your internet box, install the Deco app and follow the instructions. The network is up and running in a few minutes, and can be managed remotely (Alexa compatible).
How many Ethernet cables are included in the 3-pack?
The 3-pack contains the 3 Deco X50 units, 3 power adapters, 1 RJ45 Ethernet cable and an installation guide. Only one Ethernet cable is included: plan for more if you want a wired connection on every unit.
Is the Deco X50 system new and under warranty?
