What area does the Deco E4 3-pack cover?
The 3-unit pack is designed for homes with 3 to 4 bedrooms (the 2-pack already covers up to 260 m²). You can always add more units to extend the coverage.
What speeds does the Deco E4's AC1200 Wi-Fi offer?
It combines 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (AC1200), for a total theoretical throughput of around 1,200 Mbps, with MU-MIMO technology.
Are the Deco E4's Ethernet ports Gigabit?
No: each unit has 2 Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps ports (WAN/LAN). If you need Gigabit ports, go for a higher-end Deco model instead (such as the X50).
How many devices can the Deco E4 connect?
The system handles up to 100 connected devices simultaneously, with stable, lag-free connections.
Does the network stay the same when I move from room to room?
Yes. The units form a single Wi-Fi network (one name): your device automatically switches to the fastest unit as you move around, without dropping the connection.
Does the Deco E4 replace my internet box's Wi-Fi?
Yes, in router mode it is a worthwhile replacement for your internet box's Wi-Fi. It can also run in access point mode. It is compatible with all internet boxes.
Does the Deco E4 offer parental controls?
Yes, parental controls are included (profiles, time limits, age-based content filtering), easy to manage from the Deco app.
What is the difference between the Deco E4 (Wi-Fi 5) and a Wi-Fi 6 Deco?
The Deco E4 uses Wi-Fi 5 (AC1200): excellent value for money for covering the whole home. A Wi-Fi 6 model (such as the X50) offers more throughput, more capacity for highly connected households, and Gigabit ports.
Can I add more Deco units later?
Yes. The Deco E4 is compatible with all other Deco models: simply add a unit to extend the mesh network whenever you like.
