1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Grandstream GDS3712 cover the full width of the entrance?
Yes: 1080p over a 180° angle, stated to have no blind spots. That is what sets a video intercom apart from a standard camera: the visitor stays in frame, even standing right up against the door station.
Can the Grandstream GDS3712 open a door?
Yes, it has two relays — one for an electric lock, the other for an alarm output — and two alarm inputs, intended for an exit button and a door sensor.
Can you answer the Grandstream GDS3712 from a phone?
Yes: it uses SIP/VoIP technology for two-way audio and video streaming to smartphones, SIP phones and the GDS management software. You can see and talk to the visitor without being in front of a dedicated monitor.
Does the Grandstream GDS3712 see properly against backlight?
It features wide dynamic range up to 120 dB. That is the decisive figure for an intercom: without it, a visitor standing at a sunlit door appears on screen as nothing more than a black silhouette.
Do you need a power socket near the Grandstream GDS3712?
No: it is powered over the network cable, via PoE 802.3af Class 3. A single Ethernet link carries both power and video to the outdoor door station, which greatly simplifies installation on the façade.
Can the Grandstream GDS3712 withstand outdoor conditions?
It is rated weather-resistant and vandal-resistant, and has built-in motion detection. On an outdoor door station, vandal resistance matters as much as weatherproofing: it is the first piece of equipment to be targeted.
Does the Grandstream GDS3712 integrate with a video recorder?
It encodes in H.264 — High, Main and Baseline profiles — and in Motion JPEG, with simultaneous SIP video streaming. As H.264 is the universal video surveillance format, it can be added to an existing installation without a gateway.
Is the Grandstream GDS3712 video intercom new and under warranty?
New, part number GDS3712, in original Grandstream packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested if you make a claim.
