Frequently asked questions about this product

Which stylus works with the 11-inch iPad Air M3?
The Apple Pencil Pro and the Apple Pencil (USB-C), both sold separately. The Pencil Pro is the most complete in the range and is not supported by the entry-level iPad, which is limited to the USB-C model and the 1st generation with an adapter.
Can you type at length on the iPad Air with a keyboard?
Yes, with the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air, sold separately: it attaches to the tablet's Smart Connector. The 11-inch, 500-nit display and the 10-hour web-browsing battery life allow a full working day away from the office.
Does the Starlight iPad Air M3 last all day?
Up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi on a single charge. This is the figure for everyday use, and it drops with gaming or video editing. Charging is via a 20 W USB-C power adapter, the same as for an iPhone.
What can you connect to the iPad Air's USB-C port?
An SSD, a card reader, a dock or an external display, at 10 Gbps over USB 3. It is also the charging port. The Smart Connector, for its part, is reserved for the keyboard.
Is the iPad Air's display comfortable for drawing?
The Liquid Retina 2360 × 1640 panel at 500 nits covers the P3 wide colour gamut and True Tone adjusts the whites to the light in the room: colours stay consistent from one session to the next, which matters when a drawing stretches over several days.
How many speakers, and how good is the sound?
Four speakers with spatial audio, which are distributed in landscape mode. With the tablet held horizontally, the soundstage opens out to the left and right of the screen, for a film as well as a remote meeting.
Where is the front camera on the iPad Air M3?
On the long edge, which puts it facing you when the tablet is set horizontally. The 12 MP Center Stage sensor automatically reframes to keep you centred during a video call.
Does the iPad Air M3 have Apple Intelligence?
Yes. The M3 chip's 16-core Neural Engine and the 8 GB of unified memory run this processing on the tablet. The entry-level iPad, by contrast, does not offer it.
Does the iPad Air's Wi-Fi 6E bring a real benefit?
It adds the 6 GHz band to the usual 2.4 and 5 GHz. This recent band is still little used: the benefit is felt in a crowded environment, provided your broadband router or access point broadcasts on 6 GHz.
Is this iPad Air new and under warranty?
Yes, new and sealed, covered by a 1-year warranty; your invoice serves as proof. The chassis is made of 100% recycled aluminium and is 6.1 mm thick.
