Does this iPad (A16) work with a physical SIM card?
The mobile line is activated by eSIM, remotely, through your carrier: no tray to open and no card to handle. This is the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, 5G sub-6 GHz compatible, with a data plan to be taken out separately.
Does this iPad's 5G work everywhere?
It covers the sub-6 GHz bands, those used by carriers for standard coverage. Availability and speeds depend on your carrier and your location: check with yours before relying on 5G in a specific area.
How much does the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of the iPad (A16) weigh?
481 g and 7 mm thick, with the cellular antenna accounting for a few grams. The chassis is made of recycled aluminium, in a 24.86 × 17.95 cm format that slips into a backpack or a slim laptop bag.
Is this iPad's USB-C port fast for transfers?
No, it is USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps. It connects a drive, a dock or an external display, but a large transfer takes its time. On the move, 5G and eSIM make cloud storage more convenient than a pocket drive anyway.
Does the 256 GB Silver iPad (A16) have Apple Intelligence?
No: these features are offered on the iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini in the range. Here, the A16 chip and its 16-core Neural Engine handle on-device processing — Live Text, Visual Look Up, 4K video editing.
Which stylus works with this iPad (A16) Wi-Fi + Cellular?
The Apple Pencil (USB-C), connected directly, and the Apple Pencil (1st generation) via the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Both sold separately, they let you annotate a document, sign a contract or take handwritten notes at a client's.
How do you unlock the iPad (A16) Wi-Fi + Cellular?
With Touch ID, built into the top button: a press of your finger unlocks the tablet and approves a purchase. Handy when the iPad is lying on a meeting table, without having to lift it up to your face.
Does this iPad's display stay readable on the move?
The Liquid Retina 2360 × 1640 panel reaches 500 nits and True Tone adjusts the colours to the ambient light, from a meeting room to a shaded terrace. Colours are in sRGB, the colour space of the web and office documents.
Is the front camera suitable for video calls?
Yes. The 12 MP sensor is on the long edge and Center Stage automatically reframes you when you move, with the tablet set horizontally. This is the natural framing for a remote meeting, with the stereo speakers distributed on either side of the screen.
Is this iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new and sealed, covered by a 1-year warranty; your invoice serves as proof. The chassis is made of recycled aluminium, in line with the carbon neutrality goal the brand is pursuing across all its products by 2030.
