Frequently asked questions about this product

512 GB on an iPad: what is it really for?
For working without clearing space: your entire photo library, several seasons of series downloaded for offline viewing and 4K video projects all fit on the tablet together. It is the largest capacity for this model, and it spares you from connecting an external drive to a port limited to 480 Mbps.
Can the iPad (A16) handle several apps at the same time?
Yes. The 6 GB of RAM keeps several apps active so you can pick up where you left off; the A16 chip, with its 5-core CPU and 4-core GPU, copes with switching from one to another just as it does with editing a 4K video or annotating a document with a stylus.
What can you connect to the USB-C port of this 512 GB iPad?
External drives, docks and displays; the same port also handles charging. It runs at USB 2.0, 480 Mbps: connecting a display or a keyboard is no problem, but transferring a large volume of files takes longer.
Is the iPad (A16) Silver screen suitable for drawing?
The 2360 × 1640 Liquid Retina panel at 500 nits with True Tone is comfortable for drawing and note-taking with a stylus. Colours are calibrated to sRGB: for photo work that calls for the wide P3 gamut, look to the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
Does this iPad (A16) 512 GB support Apple Intelligence?
No: these features are found on the iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini in the lineup. The A16 chip and its 16-core Neural Engine handle on-device processing — Live Text, Visual Look Up, 4K video editing — with no connection required.
Which stylus works with this iPad (A16) Silver?
The Apple Pencil (USB-C) connects directly, and the Apple Pencil (1st generation) requires the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Sold separately, they let you sketch, annotate a document or take notes that Smart Script makes more legible.
Is the keyboard included with the iPad (A16) 512 GB?
No. The Magic Keyboard Folio is sold separately: detachable keyboard, back panel with adjustable stand, 14-key function row and fully clickable trackpad, magnetic attachment. A Smart Folio, without a keyboard, protects the front and back.
Is the sound of the iPad (A16) good enough for a film?
Yes, in landscape mode. The two speakers then sit on either side of the screen and deliver clear left-right separation for a film or a series. The built-in microphones also let you record an audio track or a podcast directly on the tablet.
How much does the iPad (A16) 11-inch 512 GB weigh?
477 g and 7 mm thick, measuring 24.86 × 17.95 cm, with a recycled aluminium chassis. The storage capacity makes no difference to the size: it is the same format as the 128 and 256 GB versions.
Is this iPad (A16) new and under warranty?
Yes, new and sealed, with a 1-year warranty; your invoice serves as proof. The chassis is made of recycled aluminium, in line with the carbon neutrality target the brand has set for all its products by 2030.
