A 15.6-inch laptop under a shell,
ready to work.

The 5131 holds a laptop up to 15.6 inches between two rigid EVA foam walls, under a water-repellent polyurethane skin. Open it flat, the laptop stays in place, and the day begins.

A base that lets it breathe

The base of the case is made of raised pads. They cushion the laptop and create channels where air circulates, which limits heat build-up when the laptop is used inside the open case. Four elastic straps, one at each corner, hold it during transport.

In the hand or on the shoulder

Two soft handles for short trips, a supplied removable and adjustable shoulder strap for the rest. Without the strap, the 5131 slides flat into a backpack or suitcase and protects the laptop there like a shell.

Compare the pocket (375 × 250 × 25 mm) with the dimensions of your laptop, thickness included. For a 14-inch laptop or a 15-inch MacBook Air, the 5130 from the same collection is more compact.

Which laptop fits in the Rivacase 5131 case?
A laptop up to 15.6 inches. The inner pocket measures 375 x 250 x 25 mm: compare it with the dimensions of your machine, especially its thickness. For a 14-inch laptop or a 15-inch MacBook Air, the 5130 from the same Antishock collection is more compact.
How does the 5131 protect the laptop?
With a shell: rigid EVA foam panels absorb knocks, the base is lined with pads and four straps hold the laptop by its corners so it does not slide inside the case. The case stays slim, 40 mm thick, and fits easily into luggage.
Can you use the laptop placed in the open case?
Yes. Opened flat, the case keeps the laptop strapped on its base of ribbed pads, whose grooves let air pass under the machine. This is what limits heat build-up when you work without taking the laptop out of its case.
Is the 5131 case water-resistant?
Yes, against a shower: the water-repellent polyurethane exterior makes water bead and run off without soaking in. The inner lining combines EVA foam and polyester, adding a layer of protection between the rain and the laptop during a journey.
Can the 5131 be carried on the shoulder?
Yes, thanks to the supplied shoulder strap, which is removable and adjustable. You can also hold it by its soft handles, or remove the strap and slide the case into a backpack or suitcase, where it then acts as a protective shell for the laptop.
What are the dimensions of the 5131 case?
It measures 400 x 270 mm and is 40 mm thick, and weighs 770 g empty. The inner pocket is 375 x 250 x 25 mm. It takes a single device: it is a protective case, not a briefcase with several compartments.
