This Y-cable connects two headsets to the same phone: the trainee leads the conversation, the trainer listens in live.

One headset talks, one headset listens

The ATC 1 starts from one EasyDisconnect connector and splits into two EasyDisconnect connectors. On the first, the trainee listens and talks normally; on the second, the trainer is in listen-only mode and does not step into the call. It is the coaching tool of contact centres and customer service teams bringing new agents on board.

The ATC 1 accepts EPOS and Sennheiser headsets with an EasyDisconnect connector, and connects to the bottom cable that links the headset to the phone, for example the Epos CSTD 01 cable.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the trainer speak to the customer with the ATC 1?
No: on the ATC 1, the trainer's connector is listen only. Only the trainee talks and listens; the trainer follows the call live without stepping into the conversation, which suits coaching sessions in a contact centre or customer service.
Which headsets does the ATC 1 work with?
With EPOS and Sennheiser headsets fitted with an EasyDisconnect (ED) connector. It connects between the two headsets and the EasyDisconnect connector of the bottom cable linked to the phone, which it does not replace.
How many headsets can be connected to the ATC 1?
Two: the Y-cable starts from one EasyDisconnect connector and splits into two EasyDisconnect connectors, one for the trainee and one for the trainer. The two headsets thus share the same phone throughout the training session.
What is a training Y-cable used for?
To train or coach an agent in real conditions: the trainer listens to the trainee's calls live, on the same phone. This is the coaching and training use this dual-listening cable is designed for.
Do you need another cable to connect the ATC 1 to the phone?
Yes: the ATC 1 connects to the EasyDisconnect bottom cable that links the headset to the phone or adapter. At EPOS, this is for example the CSTD 01 cable with an RJ9 plug, which suits most phones in direct connection.
