A shared workhorse for a whole team: it prints, copies and scans in colour up to SRA3, at 20 pages per minute whether the page is black or colour. The 100-sheet duplex document feeder, the 10.1-inch touchscreen, two paper trays and a 256 GB SSD are all there on delivery.

Twenty pages a minute, colour included

The IM C2010 does not slow down when the page turns to colour: 20 pages per minute in A4 either way, with the first page out in 4.5 seconds in black and 7 seconds in colour. Switched on, it is ready in 24 seconds; woken from sleep, in 6.6 seconds. Its 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution, raised to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi equivalent by Ricoh's smoothing process, keeps both the solid areas of a logo and the small figures of a spreadsheet sharp.

Awarded for keeping pace under load

The independent test laboratory DataMaster gave the Ricoh IM C series, IM C2010 included, its "Best Print Productivity 2025" award for A3 multifunction printers. In its "busy office" test, the series machines received fifteen print jobs at once and output them all at their rated speed, with no processing pause. A scan started at the panel while the machine is printing slows down neither task, and switching paper trays happens without stopping.

What comes in the box, what you can add

As standard, the machine has two 550-sheet trays and a 100-sheet bypass: 1,200 sheets ready to print. Ricoh's visuals show it on a block of two extra trays, available as an option.

1. 100-sheet ARDF document feeder, standard: it turns the original over to read the back.

3. 500-sheet internal output tray, face down (250 sheets from B4 up).
4. Trays 1 and 2: 2 x 550 sheets, standard.
5. Trays 3 and 4: 2 x 550 sheets, optional, to reach 2,300 sheets.

From A6 to a 1.26-metre banner

The trays take every size from A6 to SRA3, envelopes included, and paper from 60 to 300 g/m². The bypass goes down to 52 g/m², accepts labels and custom sizes from 90 to 320 mm wide and up to 1,260 mm long when printing: enough for a banner, and Ricoh offers a dedicated banner paper guide as an option. When copying, length stops at 457.2 mm. Automatic duplex works up to 169 g/m²; a 300 g/m² card prints on one side.

A hundred sheets in the feeder, and off you go

The ARDF scans at 80 images per minute in black as in colour, at 200 or 300 dpi. It reads the front, turns the sheet over, then reads the back. Files go to an e-mail address, a shared folder over SMB or FTP, a URL or a USB stick, as PDF, PDF/A for archiving, digitally signed PDF, encrypted PDF, TIFF or JPEG. The glass takes an A3 original, and scanning goes up to 1,200 dpi for sizes up to A5. A searchable PDF requires the optional OCR unit.

A tablet-style screen to run the machine

The 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel is the one used across the whole IM C series: a capacitive, tilting touchscreen running Android 10. It has 4 of the machine's 6 GB of memory to itself. From a phone, AirPrint, Mopria and the RICOH Smart Device Connector app send print jobs and collect scans, with no computer in between.

Data under lock, right down to the SSD

A TPM 2.0 hardware security module, an encrypted 256 GB SSD and secure printing, which holds a document until its author comes to release it at the machine: a contract or a payslip does not sit in the output tray. The optional Wi-Fi authenticates with WPA3. Ricoh's Always Current Technology installs firmware updates on its own, and network access can be restricted by IP address, port or protocol.

0.2 kWh per week in typical use

Measured with the ENERGY STAR method, its typical electricity consumption is 0.2 kWh per week. In sleep mode it drops to 0.3 W; ready to print, it draws 37.7 W. Half of the plastic in its housing comes from post-consumer recycled products, and the IM C series uses a toner that fuses at a lower temperature. Its toners last 30,000 pages in black and 18,000 pages per colour, on A4 at 5% coverage.

When the team prints more

Same screen, same paper sizes: the IM C3010 goes up to 30 pages per minute and replaces the ARDF with a 220-sheet SPDF that reads both sides in a single pass, at 150 images per minute single-sided and 300 double-sided. It takes up to 4,850 sheets with options, and toners of 40,000 pages in black.

Good to know before installing: Wi-Fi is not built in. Without the optional interface, the machine connects to the network by Ethernet cable, and the Bluetooth on its panel cannot be used for printing. Fax and OCR are options too: state the configuration you need in your quote request.
