Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Compatibility : the printers visible in the image are only an example of use: only the exact reference of the consumable guarantees compatibility with your machine.
  • Quantity : an image of a multipack or a multicolour set says nothing about the packaging sold — the number of units and the colour are those of the title and the specifications.
  • Yield : standard, XL and high-yield versions most often share the same photo.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the HP 828A imaging drum (CF358A) for?
It is the part that receives the image drawn by the laser before transferring it onto the paper. In this range, it has its own reference, CF358A, and is replaced independently of the toner cartridges.
How many pages does the HP 828A black drum last?
30,000 pages, a yield declared in accordance with the ISO/IEC 19798 standard. That is the service life of a production machine: sixty reams of 500 sheets before the part needs replacing.
Which machines use the HP 828A drum?
The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M855 range and the Flow M880 multifunction printers. The part currently installed should carry the reference CF358A or 828A.
Is the drum replaced at the same time as the toner cartridge?
No, it is a separate part, with its own reference and its own service life of 30,000 pages. It therefore outlasts several toner cartridges before reaching the end of its life.
Is the HP 828A drum heavy?
2.85 kg: it is a part for an A3 production machine, to be picked up with both hands and laid flat during the operation. Allow for the corresponding storage space if you keep one in reserve.
How long do thirty thousand pages last?
For a department that prints three thousand pages a month, the drum lasts ten months; at one thousand pages a month, two and a half years. On a production machine, its replacement is planned well in advance.
Is this HP 828A imaging drum new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new, genuine HP part. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year on this reference. Keep it: it is the document requested if a defect is found.
