This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the Epson DS-50000 scanner scan a bound book?
Yes: it is a flatbed scanner, so the document is placed on the glass. That is the only way to handle a bound volume, a fragile document or an original you do not want to feed through a feeder.
What is the maximum size the Epson DS-50000 scanner accepts?
A3, as well as A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter and Legal. An A3 flatbed scanner is rare: this is precisely what lets you scan a plan, a register or a double-page spread without splitting it in two.
What is the scanning quality of the Epson DS-50000?
600 dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour depth, on a CCD sensor. CCD offers greater depth of field than CIS: a slightly curved document stays sharp from edge to edge.
Do you have to wait for the Epson DS-50000 to warm up?
No: it is specified as having no warm-up time. The first scan starts immediately, which makes a difference at a workstation where a few pages are scanned several times a day rather than in a single batch.
How do you connect the Epson DS-50000 scanner to the network?
Via USB 2.0 as standard; Ethernet is available as an option. Network connection is therefore decided when ordering: without the option, the scanner stays tied to a single workstation.
