A toner sold for the series, not for a model
The C-EXV 60 box says "imageRUNNER 2425 series". That is the right way to check an order on this kind of copier: the part number attaches not to a full model number but to a series. The suffix that follows the number — the one separating the connectivity and equipment variants — plays no part in working out the consumable.
In practice, if your invoice or your inventory label mentions an imageRUNNER 2425 in one form or another, this is the toner you need. Doubt always comes from the suffix, never from the series.
Enlarging the tray changes nothing about the cartridge
This machine starts with 330 sheets as standard and rises to 580 with the additional cassette module; at the output, it stacks 250 sheets at most. Many offices add that module thinking they will space out the interventions: it spaces out paper reloads, not toner changes.
The cartridge itself has no long-life version in this series. So it is the printing pace alone that sets the resupply frequency — and on an A3 machine, a large-format page uses more than an A4 one at equal coverage.

Yes. Canon lists this toner for the imageRUNNER 2425 series as a whole, and not for one particular variant. Models in this series differ by their equipment and connectivity, not by their print engine: the cartridge is the same. For a copier of another generation, the C-EXV number changes — the one for the imageRUNNER 2206 is not interchangeable.
Is a different toner needed to print in A3?
No, the machine uses a single cartridge whatever the format. An A3 page does cover twice the area of an A4 one, though: at comparable content, it uses roughly twice the powder. That is why the replacement pace of an A3 fleet is judged on the machine's counter rather than on a number of sheets, as explained on the imageRUNNER 2224 page.
