With no screen, the level is read on the machine
The L3110 has no display: no screen, no gauge, no message. On a cartridge printer that would be a real shortcoming — nothing would say where you stand. Here it is the opposite: the four tanks are visible at the front, and the ink can be seen directly.
That reading is more reliable than an electronic gauge. A gauge estimates consumption from the number of dots laid down; the tank shows what is left. You look at the machine instead of reading a screen, and you order a bottle when the level approaches the lower mark moulded into the tank — not when a light comes on.
In practice: on this machine there is no surprise stoppage. The level drops visibly over several weeks, which leaves plenty of time to order.
One person, one cable
The L3110 connects over USB only, with no networking and no wireless. It is one workstation's machine, not a department's — and that shows in its pace of consumption: an ink set covers months of ordinary use.
It prints up to 33 pages per minute in draft mode, but 10 pages per minute to the ISO standard in black. The second figure is the right benchmark for estimating real use; the first corresponds to a mode that lays down noticeably less ink.
The same 103 ink, across a whole family
The 103 bottles also feed the EcoTank L1110, L3150, L3156 and L5190. The number, not the printer model, is what to go by when ordering: the L3210 and L3250 pages describe the same set of four bottles.
