Which printers accept the HP 730 cyan cartridge (P2V62A)?
The HP DesignJet T1600 and T1600dr plotters (36 inches), the T2600 and T2600dr multifunction printers (36 inches) and the T1700 and T1700dr (44 inches), PostScript versions included. The reference to check is P2V62A.
What use is this ink intended for?
For printing technical documents: it aims for vivid colours and high image quality on plain paper, i.e. on the everyday medium of a design office, not on photo paper.
Does HP 730 ink protect the plotter's printheads?
Yes, it is a central argument of this range: HP-designed inks optimise printhead life and help reduce the cost of ownership. On a plotter, the printhead is the most expensive part.
Do the prints dry quickly?
Yes, the prints are stated to be fast-drying. On a plotter that prints drawing after drawing, this avoids waiting before rolling or folding a freshly printed output.
Has this ink been tested with DesignJet machines?
Yes: HP DesignJet printers and inks are stated to be validated by more than 50 tests, with the aim of a consistent level of reliability from one cartridge to the next.
Do high-capacity cartridges reduce interventions?
Yes. HP presents high-capacity ink cartridges as allowing you to print more unattended and to reduce costs on a plotter running at volume.
Can the P2V62A print all colours?
No, it only supplies cyan. The plotter's other inks are separate references: check the level of each one before ordering, as a machine of this format will not restart a plot without the missing ink.
Is this HP 730 cyan cartridge new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new, genuine HP cartridge, reference P2V62A. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document requested if a defect is found.
