Do the stated 1,000 pages apply to magenta alone?
The 1,000-page yield is declared as a CMY composite (cyan, magenta, yellow) according to the ISO/IEC 19798 standard, in single-sided printing: it is not a count of magenta-only pages. Your actual consumption will depend on how much magenta your documents contain.
What does “return programme” mean on this C2350M0 magenta toner?
These cartridges are patented and sold at a discounted price in return for a commitment: single use, then return to Lexmark for remanufacturing and recycling. Lexmark also offers replacement cartridges without these restrictions.
Can this magenta cartridge be refilled once it runs out?
No. It is patented for single use and stops working after a certain amount of toner has been used. If you want to be able to refill your supplies, turn to the Lexmark references outside the return programme.
Why does the printer ask for a replacement when there is still toner left?
Because this is the stated behaviour: when replacement becomes necessary, the cartridge may still contain a variable amount of toner. The stop corresponds to the cartridge's single-use threshold, not to a completely empty reservoir.
Which printers does this magenta toner fit?
The Lexmark C2425dw, C2535dw, MC2425adw, MC2535adwe and MC2640adwe, all colour laser machines. Check the model shown on your printer before ordering: it is the model, not the colour alone, that determines which reference to choose.
Do you have to order all three colours at the same time?
No. This reference is sold singly and contains only magenta: it is not a pack. Order each colour only when it has actually run out on your printer.
What happens to the used cartridge after replacement?
It goes back to the Lexmark collection programme, free of charge, for remanufacturing and recycling: that is the commitment attached to the discounted price of the return programme. The used consumable is therefore not meant to end up in ordinary office waste.
