Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Compatibility : the printers visible in the image are only an example of use: only the exact reference of the consumable guarantees compatibility with your machine.
  • Quantity : an image of a multipack or a multicolour set says nothing about the packaging sold — the number of units and the colour are those of the title and the specifications.
  • Yield : standard, XL and high-yield versions most often share the same photo.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which cartridges do you need to print in colour with this HP 126A?
The CE310A is the black toner only. Colour comes from three separate HP 126A cartridges — CE311A cyan, CE313A magenta and CE312A yellow, approximately 1,000 pages each — replaceable one at a time: you only buy the colour that has run out.
Do you also need to replace the imaging drum, or is it built into the cartridge?
The drum is a separate part in this range: it is reference CE314A, rated at 14,000 pages in black and 7,000 in colour. It therefore lasts a good ten or so black toners before being replaced, but it needs to be included in the printer's maintenance budget.
Which printers does this CE310A fit?
It is specified as compatible with the HP Color LaserJet CP1025 and CP1025nw and with the HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175a, M175nw and MFP M175nw, as well as the M275, i.e. the LaserJet Pro CP1020 colour range. Check the exact reference on the front of your printer before ordering: these models look very much alike.
What do the stated 1,200 pages mean in real use?
It is an average yield measured according to the ISO/IEC 19798 standard. Your actual result varies considerably depending on what you print: documents heavy in solid areas, photos and graphics use up the cartridge much faster than running text. The printer displays an alert when the level gets low, giving you time to plan the next purchase.
Is this reference sold singly or in a pack of two?
Singly: the CE310A contains a single cartridge of black toner. The twin pack does exist, but under a different reference, CE310AD. If you print a lot in black, order the quantity you need directly rather than waiting for a twin pack.
Is this a genuine HP toner or a remanufactured third-party one?
It is an authentic HP LaserJet toner, designed for the LaserJet Pro CP1020 colour range — not a remanufactured third-party cartridge. It is covered by the HP Premium Protection Warranty, which covers parts and labour, and the empty cartridge can be recycled through the HP Planet Partners programme, whose availability varies by country.
Is the toner new and under warranty?
Yes: the cartridge is new and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 3 months. The yields and references for the entire 126A range are listed in the HP datasheet (PDF).
