1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Can the files stored on this flash drive be password-protected?
Yes. The SanDisk SecureAccess software, included with the drive, creates a 128-bit AES encrypted area: you put your sensitive files there and the rest of the drive remains freely shareable. It is supported from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and on macOS 10.9 and later, where the software must be downloaded first.
Is there a cap to lose on this USB flash drive?
No, and that is by design: the USB connector is retractable and slides into the body of the drive when it is not in use, keeping it protected without any cap. At 59.44 × 21.84 × 8.38 mm and 9 g, it slips into a pocket without a second thought.
Does it work on a USB 2.0 port, and at what speed?
Yes, it is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and works on any USB-A port. To get USB 3.0 speeds, however, you need a USB 3.0 port on the computer; performance also depends on the host device.
What if my computer only has USB-C ports?
The Cruzer Glide's connector is USB-A. On a machine that only has USB-C ports, you will therefore need a USB-C to USB-A adapter or a hub. The connector stays protected either way, since it retracts into the body of the drive.
Why does a 16 GB flash drive show less than 16 GB once plugged in?
Because the capacity is counted in decimal gigabytes: 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes for the manufacturer. The usable space displayed by your system is therefore lower than the capacity printed on the drive, and it is not a defect.
Is the flash drive new and covered by a warranty?
Yes: new in its original blister pack, reference SDCZ600-016G-G35, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Full specifications are in the SanDisk datasheet (PDF).
