1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the Canon GI-43GY grey ink pigment-based or dye-based?
Pigment-based. The pigment settles on the surface of the paper instead of penetrating its fibres as a dye does: shades are reproduced accurately and the print holds up better over time. That is what makes it suited to prints you want to last.
What is a grey ink bottle for on a PIXMA G640?
To soften what black alone renders too harshly: grey refines halftones, black-and-white images and gradient areas. The product sheet intends it for photos as much as for documents, with colour reproduction described as faithful and consistent.
How many pages does a 60 ml bottle of GI-43GY last?
Up to 3,800 pages for this 60 ml bottle — a per-bottle yield, not the total of a full ink set. On an ink tank printer, that means a long interval between two grey refills.
Which printers take the Canon GI-43GY bottle?
It is listed as compatible with the Canon PIXMA G640 and G540, two ink tank models from the MegaTank family. Check the reference 4707C001AB against the one given in your printer's manual before ordering.
Can the grey be refilled independently of the other colours?
Yes. Each shade in the GI-43 series comes in a separate bottle and feeds its own tank: you only replace the one that runs out. An empty colour does not bring the others to a halt, unlike what happens with a multicolour cartridge.
Is this ink genuine Canon ink and under warranty?
Yes, Canon reference 4707C001AB, new and in its original packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. A genuine ink is formulated for the printheads of the machine it is intended for.
