1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Are the XLR inputs supplied with the Canon XA65?
Yes: the HDU-1 handle unit, which carries the two XLR connectors, is included in the box. That is what sets the XA65 apart from the XA60B, on which the XLR handle is ordered separately.
What is the zoom range of the Canon XA65?
20x optical, covering 29.3 to 601 mm in 35 mm equivalent. The stated range rises to 612 mm with dynamic stabilisation, which slightly crops the image: the first figure is the one that describes the lens itself.
What formats does the Canon XA65 record in?
XF-AVC 4K UHD at 160 Mbps in 25P and Full HD at 45 Mbps; or MP4 4K at 150 Mbps and Full HD at 35 or 17 Mbps for lighter files. XF-AVC is aimed at professional editing, MP4 at quick distribution.
Does the Canon XA65 have an SDI output?
Yes, a 3G-SDI output, in addition to HDMI. SDI uses a locking coaxial cable and handles long distances without loss: it is the connection expected by a control room or an outside broadcast van.
Can the Canon XA65 be used as a video conferencing camera?
Yes, it streams live HD via USB-C, as UVC: the computer recognises it as a webcam, with no software or capture card. Note, however, that sound does not go through USB: it has to be captured separately.
What is in the box of the Canon XA65 camcorder?
The camcorder, the HDU-1 handle unit, the USB PD-E1 AC adapter, the BP-820 battery, a lens hood with lens barrier and a microphone holder. The kit is therefore ready to use as soon as it is unboxed, SD cards aside.
Can the Canon XA65 film in the dark?
Yes, it has an infrared mode, designed to capture images in very low or no light. It is a rare feature on a reportage camcorder, useful for wildlife documentaries or night-time surveillance.
Can the Canon XA65 record to two cards at once?
Yes, it has two SD slots and supports simultaneous recording, for a real-time backup copy, or relay recording, which switches automatically to the second card when the first is full.
Does the Canon XA65 offer slow motion and fast motion?
Yes: slow motion in Full HD at 0.5x, and fast motion in 4K or Full HD up to 1,200x. A custom picture menu also lets you match colours with those of other Canon cameras, without grading.
Is the Canon XA65 camcorder new and under warranty?
New, reference 5732C003AA, in original Canon packaging, with its battery and handle. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested in the event of a claim.
